Hi all, the truck is making this "whine" under a very very light acceleration, literally just touching the gas pedal will make it sound like this, or when cruising on a flat hwy with no wind will do the same.
Applying more throttle will make the sound go away (it probably doesn't go away completely just less audible), or just coasting will not make it sound like this.
I remember my granpa used to have one of those old Soviet cars that was making exact sound but pretty much all the time, didn't seem to bother him as he's never done anything about it and the car kept going in all those years he had it.
I can't pinpoint where the sound is coming from as it feels all around (plus I'm also partially deaf and wear hearing aids so this doesn't help)
I uploaded an audio recording into my G-drive. Any ideas?

i hear what your saying. do you have a scan tool? even with out a CEL on it could have stored codes if trans related. i know mine did. could be anything from a pinion bearing, gears worn, not really sure chief.

I have, will try once I get home, hope it's not tranny, other than this whine, there are no other mechanical issues and transmission shifts and runs fine. It's just weird that whine isn't there under heavies acceleration, you'd think if there was an issue it would be more pronounced at a heavier load.

2021 CCSB Hemi here and my truck makes a “whine” type noise at very low speeds, as in crawling through a drive thru. It’s not brakes. It’s not steering. It’s something but the truck runs and drives as it should.

Just returned from work and will do some checking in the next few days.
It's a mystery, it drives fine and I can only hear that whine at around 40-50mph

My truck has the same whine noise like timing gears or possibly the power steering pump. The noise is definitely coming from under the hood. It's a 2017 3500.

Unless one of us is wrong, out issues aren't related, it can't be timing gears of a PS pump in my case, timing gears noise would be RPM dependent, PS would be making noise at all speeds, mine is only doing it at 50mph.
I learnt to ignore the noise for now until I get to check a few things here and there.
