Good Morning To all, im a new Member i Own a 2019 2500 Larmie, My First Diesel.

I have a question what kind of miles are you getting out of your Def tank? i have 4300 miles and i've gone through 5 gallons. i don't tow. and i drive about 100 miles a day 1/3 of those stop and go traffic. I talked to a fella over the weekend who siad hes getting like 9,000 miles out of his tank. His comment made me wonder if there is an issue with my truck

i get about 700 miles per gallon. i would say you are doing fine. i dont see 9,000 miles from one tank on the +19 plus.

Holy smokes! That's incredible. On my 19 I go through roughly 5-gallons every 4 or 5 fill ups.

You must be towing frequently. Assuming 25-30 gals per fill up, that's about 4-5 percent DEF to fuel consumed. I'm only ever at that usage rate while towing. Unloaded about one percent DEF to fuel burned.

I have 3.2k miles on my '19 Laramie. I've filled it once with 2.5 gal when I got a about half empty and am about to hit half empty again in about another 600 miles, so ill fill it again for a total of 5 gallons in about 4k miles. I'm in the same boat as the OP, I drive about 100 miles per day and about 1/3 of that in stop and go traffic, and not towing.

Something has to be wrong. Or your towing all the time. That’s a lot of def. I have 5000 miles on my 2018 2500 and prob 1/3 of that was towing. I haven’t used that much def. not even close.

My first trip thru the mountains i got 435 miles per gallon.
1/2 of that was hauling the camper.
Thats about 3% def to fuel

I did not measure usage on my eco-diesel but it was MUCH less
