DEF Build Up

Check it out…while "repairing" the truck this fell out from the DEF injector area. I work on CAT equipment and have never seen this amount of accumulation in our systems. Who else have seen this amount of build up??

Would this result from using expired DEF?

Looks like the injector may have been leaking and that was build up around it? Hard to say not seeing exactly where it came from.

My previous truck grew a tumor like that. Replaced the gasket on the injector and solved the problem.
