I have a 2019 Laramie w/6.7 Cummins 4x4 w/OffRoad Pkg. With 25,854 mi. I pull a 37.5 ft. 5th wheel toyhauler with a pinweight of 2416 lbs. That's approximately 300 lbs. Over payload capacity for my truck. After reading and watching YouTube videos about the 68rfe failing and the cp4 Taking a ****, I've started looking into a 3500. I'm looking at a 2021 Laramie 4x4 with the Aisin AS69RC and a payload of 5370.97. I'm just looking for input about the transmission since I'm not familiar with it. Any reviews and/or numbers anyone might have would be appreciated.

The 68rfe in these 19+ trucks are pretty stout the older gen had some small issues but they are resolved, and the cp4 is a minimal chance of failure it would not be anything to lose sleep over

I'd upgrade for payload, but either trans is reliable.

You'll get more tow capacity with the HO/Aisin, you'll likely get worse fuel mileage and slightly less payload.

Laramie with 5370 payload has to be a dooley. Is that a door sticker number or online number? Payload goes down with options.

That's an online number Givin to me by the dealer at Moss Bro. RAM in Riverside, Ca. It's off of a 2021 Laramie
3500 dually with the Aisin. I would rather find one that isn't a dually

That's some reassuring info. It looks like the upgrade probably won't happen due to financing but I REALLY LOVE this truck anyway. That being said, I try to take really good care of this truck and I've read that putting additives in the fuel will increase longevity of the cp4. What should I be using???
