I'm hoping someone can provide insight into this. @Jimmy07 and @Brutal_HO, if you have time for any input, I appreciate it.

I took delivery of my 2022 Laramie 5500 60" CA a couple of weeks ago.

Is there any way to verify that I have received all the "loose" shipped items that are supposed to come with the truck and the correct part numbers? I'm hoping to get this figured out so that I have everything I need when I have a flatbed installed. When I asked the dealer, they said that Ram didn't provide any list, that the items should just be in the truck. When I asked how do we know if something was missing... they had no idea.

Here are the options I ordered:

Laramie level 2 equipment group
Safety group
Towing technology group
Trailer tire pressure monitoring system
52 and 22 gallon dual fuel tanks
Heavy duty snow plow prep group
Cold weather group
Full size spare
Manual DPF regeneration
Off road tires

Here are the "loose" shipped items I have:

Tow mode camera install cable 68527158AA and connector plate 68508681AA
Rear view digital camera kit 68544395AA, with cable 68544396AA and camera 68442521AA
TPIS kit 68395315AC , with harness 68396015AC and module 68526635AB,
Wheel sensor kit 68433188AA with fittings and wheel sensors (4) 68375992AA
7 way / 12 pin connector plate 68522624AB
Fuel filler extension kit (2) 52121693AH
Cold weather radiator cover 68526832AA
Aux switch / upfitter wiring kit 68512072AA
VSIM module wiring kit 68361228AC

I've done a lot of internet searching and a lot of the part numbers on my stuff either can't be found or don't match up with the Ram body builder guide sheets on their site. I'm a little confused here.

A couple of other things I've noticed.

First, the 7 way wire harness at the back of the chassis is just blunt cut and shrink wrapped (as shown in the body builders guide). There is no quick disconnect harness included to splice to this and connect to the 7 way / 12 pin plate. Is this typical?

Second, the rear view camera has no mount or bracket for install. The body builders guide seems to state that you have to handle this yourself? How the heck do you mount this thing? I've included a pic of just the camera.

Thanks for any help.

I don't know what the kit should be specifically.

I assume you've collected all the upfitter docs from the body builder site?

Per the camera doc, they do not provide any sort of bracket or housing. They do provide dims for one to be made.

This relocation kit is available, if a bit spendy @ $187 and just abs (probably) plastic. https://www.bobsmirrors.com/Factory...ith-360-Degree-View-Camera-Option_p_1521.html

I found this universal upfitter kit but not a retail source: https://www.zorg-na.com/product/4210/
If I was going to use one, this would probably be it. I could possibly build on in CAD to 3D print but my CAD skills are lame and it would take me forever to produce.

ETA: found this Zorg kit on Bob's cameras. https://www.bobsmirrors.com/Zorg-Mu...rd-Jeep-RAM-Trucks--Universal-Kit_p_1549.html

The bare housing only no cable no camera is $105.

@Brutal_HO, yah I've looked at the body builders guide on the Ram website a lot, but it doesn't appear to be up to date for a number of things. For example, I can't find anything yet on the tow mode camera. Also can't find anything on the 12 pin set up. Plus the part numbers in the write ups for the TPIS and surround view camera system don't match with what I have. Maybe there is more info available for actual upfitters?

I actually looked at both of those last night and ordered the first housing shown. It looks like it may be the best option I have for the back up camera.

For the 7 way, are chassis cab buyers expected to get their own connector like this:

So the Aux switches you have to wire them up or is that like an extension harness ?

The bag of wires with terminal pre-crimped on them are for the Aux switches are use to connect your accessory into the AUX jumper plugs under the hood. There's also wires in there for trucks equipped with PTO.

There a sticky here on AUX if you have more questions.

Thanks ...

That's better than Ford already, all you get is some super short wires you can barely get to

I had the same questions when I received my truck. The first thing I found helpful was YouTube... After that I went to https://www.ramtrucks.com/ram-commercial/body-builders-guide.html and download the instructions for all the bags. Mounting the camera was done with silicon (not my choice) it seems to hold. 84E235E0-4687-4F8F-B91B-27E769F9A2E3_1_105_c.jpeg
The 1 question I still have, where is the wire to connect the "Trailer Surround View" @ the 7-Way to the rest of the truck?

My Cab and Chassis didn't come with a backup camera, but the factory harness was complete all the way up to the head end unit. OEM camera's weren't available at the time, so I ordered this unit: https://camerasource.com/catalog/pr...019-ram-surface-mount-cab-and-chassis-camera/ Just drilled a hole in the bed where I wanted it and and was good. It's not perfect, as the position is lower than intended which results in the field of view and guide lines not being where they need to be, but it does the job.

As for the other items, I only saw them briefly in the truck when it first was delivered. The up-fit was part of the original purchase and was complete before I took possession. The only items I have loose are the wiring harness for the auxiliary switches and the cold weather cover.

I think the trailer surround view connects to the 12 pin connection. My truck came with a combined 7 way / 12 pin socket. I've included pictures of the dual socket and what I think is the 12 pin connector at the rear of the truck.
