Looking at the B&W hitches for my 2020 RAM 3500 truck. Buying a hitch to match current truck rating, and intend to but once. So I am looking at the 2.5 mount drop hitches. The only question is what finish is the most durable. The chrome or the black. I am assuming the black is powder coating.

There is only a $35 difference between the chrome and black finishes. Leaning toward the chrome triball.

Black is starting to "orange " around the edges. In truck 8 months here in Ohio. Love b&w products but the powder coating doesn't hold up in this portion of the salt belt. I fluid film mine. The chrome on the trailer balls has held up well

Chrome plating will hold up better as its chemically fused to the parent material so its a little harder for rust to penetrate
