So I wil need all the wiring instructions in this thread?? Or is the kit enough and just power and ground? Is the dash harness already there and waiting to be plugged in or will I need to pin wires there as well?

I too am interested

Depends on your truck as to what you’ll need. If you have the diesel then it’s much easier. Gas requires you to add the AUX PDC either OE or aftermarket one.

Just something amusing...a salesman argued with me and said those Aux switches COULD NOT be added after the truck is built.....he was trying to justify the inflated price he was trying to charge for the truck he had in stock......needless to say I didn't buy it from him. Still searching for the right one at a fair price.

By chance do you have the part number for this aux switch on my truck 2019 ram 2500 big horn it has the same layout starting with my exhaust brake left to right as shown in the picture. all other aux switches ive looked up via mopar part numbers come with the exhaust brake switch in the second position where the tow/haul button is in this picture.

You can find the part numbers on another post on the diy aux switches thread. Pay attention to which buttons you need, they all have different part numbers.

Mine is reversed as well and haven’t gotten around to installing it yet to make sure it works. On my dash I have tow/haul, jake, front, back. The switch I ordered has tow/jake reversed but the vin matches the part I ordered, so it should work… once I install I’ll let you know.

What is the PTO button for? Haven’t seen that one.

That's a computer generated image, probably from before the trucks actually existed. The order of the buttons doesn't matter, it knows which is which.

Yeah the piano keys and the aux switches have the tow/haul exhaust reversed. I installed my aux switches without any modifications and the truck figured out out fine. Everything works as it should.

PTO is Power Take Off. I believe it basically uses rotation of trans gears to power different equipment.

So your switch has Jake tow front back cause that’s what I’m looking for and the part number everyone I’ve seen and even in the thread with all the part numbers are tow Jake front back but my truck the tow and Jake are reversed so it’s Jake tow front rear

It's ok that it's reversed. You just don't want any options that you do have missing. It will work just fine without any modifications with the buttons reversed.

how do you get to the commercial settings through the instrument cluster I’ve scrolled through my instrument cluster and only have settings to change my display on my cluster but no commercial settings to go ahead and add the aux switches

@A13jandr076 Did your truck come with the switches? If so then I’d go to the dealer and have them activate them in the BCM.

If you added them you’ll need to either have the dealer activate them or you’ll need to do it with AlfaOBD

They are changing part numbers again. Mopar part Giant canceled my order saying there is a replacement part number now.

The terminals for the XY125 connector are readily available now, so instead of removing and replacing the existing wires on the aux switch bank connector, you can just populate the missing wires on the female half of XY125.

XY125 pins 34, 36, 37, 38, 41- Aptiv 35072391:

XY 125 pin 40- 7116-4270-02:

How easy is this connector XY125 to reach and work with. I have mostly seen that people have used the T-harness method has anyone tried just pinning the XY125. Is it difficult with all the wires in that connector.
