Has any one put the air ride 5000 air bags on their 2021 limited mega cab 2500? Has to be 2021 or 2022. There was a change so don’t care if it’s a 2020. Trying to see how you did it or if I need to just return them and get pacbrakes air bags.

Thanks

Why do you say there was changes? I took a set out of my buddies 18 and put them on his new 22 for him no issues

There is a brace for the brake line that the back long bikt makes contacts. The front long bolt can’t be straight due to the shock tower bracket. This is the left/driver side.

I got those airbags on my 2019 2500 but with the daystar bottoms. Works great and I don’t lose the nice ride from my Carli lift

The bolt touching the brake line bracket is not an issue and there should be enough adjustment to get the bolt on the front side straight, that being said i would get the day star cradles instead unless you never leave the highway or put the truck on a hoist

Looking closer at your pictures im pretty sure you have the bottom bracket backwards or upside down

Yep your right. I had the bottom bracket flipped the wrong way. They are on and went for a test drive. The bottom bracket (under the axle) is too small. The axle size changed but not sure if that’s a 2019 thing or 2021.

Just did a search and can't find "Air Ride" all that comes up is "Air Lift
Air lift is the bag brand most people go with. I just bought a set with some daystar cradles to put on my truck.

Firestone is another good brand.

I put some TImber Grove's on my truck. Install was easy. Upper Midwest Small Business. Owner was great to work with.

What is the reason for Daystar Cradles?
They enable the use of airbags without the bottom of the bag being mechanically tied to the axle. It allows the suspension to articulate normally during off-road type use. If they were tied to the axle, especially on a Power Wagon where the suspension can move so much off road, there is risk of tearing the bags. It just depends on your intended usage. The cradle allows a place for the bottom of the bag to seat during regular road/loaded usage.

OK. I see, so for my use, just on highway towing an RV I don't need them.
