Just got a new-to-me 2021 2500 Cummins with 53k miles (my first diesel). Checked the oil filler cap and I’m seeing a bit of smoke coming out plus the cap wiggles a little bit. Is this an acceptable amount of blowby or do I have a problem? Is this just normal ventilation and the cap movement is engine vibration? This was at a fully warm engine at idle.

I sold some parts to a hotshot guy with 425k on his 3500, we got to talking trucks. He was proud of his high mileage and we were talking about how his truck has been. To show off the shape of his engine he did the same test and his cap jiggled around the same. Pretty impressive 425k on a 2021 hauling heavy and no blowby.
