I just had to help a neighbor bring some things home from his cabin with my 2500 Hemi 4.10 gears, 235 miles each way (I now have 984 miles on the truck). 41CC30A0-E10D-4572-8651-78082416FA60.jpegFD4ECE76-1B0C-4708-8E2F-3FE409AE99DF.jpegGoing up with the trailer empty (trailer weighs 3900lbs) averaged 9.5 mpg at 75 mph, coming home figured around 10000lbs between truck bed and trailer load averaged 8.5 mpg at 70 mph. Your trip looked so much more enjoyable!!! I threw my back out loading the truck...

That's a substantial load there! The Hemi is a very good tow rig too, sorry about the back.

I actually can’t wait to see how much better it handles our TT than the 2019 1500 5.7 w/3.92 gears that I traded up from!!! So far it’s handling everything else I use it for so much better. Have to say I absolutely love the color of your truck!!! I have just had more red vehicles than I cared to.... but that was my #2 color choice.

I only got one 1 late camping trip in between upgrading from a 1500 and winter storage, but it was night and day pulling a 33ft 6,100 lbs dry weight TT. Have a trip planned next month to the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas and am looking forward to the drive.

Great post and thanks for sharing.

Does your truck have the stock suspension or did you add any airbags to level out any squat? Will be picking up a 8500lb TT soon and wanted to see how it does before getting rear airbags for it.

Thanks.
