The wait is over! The first batch of 2023 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty pickups have started arriving in dealers’ inventories across the southwest.

Until they figure out their Aisin tranny problem I wouldn't be too motivated about buying one . Why did they put the chevy plastic insert on the hood ? Are those for heat dissipation or just looks ' and the hood scoop ? Is that functional ? To me is looks like a GM hood slapped on a Ram . Not saying it is bad just not very cutting edge .

The hood scoop is fake. Stellantis/FCA/Daimler-Chrysler/etc have been doing fake hood scoops just as long as everyone else has, so it’s definitely not a Chevy thing.

The heat extraction vents on the rear of the hood are closed up but are easy to open if you so choose, just like the ones on Jeep Rubicons.

Totally agree, those fake hood vents and scoop are plain cheesy! If it's not functional, don't put it on.

The displayed hood comes with the $2.5K "Night Edition" package (along with the black wheels and black front grill and headlight trim). Fortunately, the standard hood has not changed.
