I’m not 100% sure but from looking through web and some shipping dates it looks like it may have happened somewhere around April 17-19 , I’m just guessing this where I had shipped on 11th and the hold date was for April 24th at 12am , I hope it’s not bad Anthony from MD called yesterday and said to give it couple weeks and see where things are moving they are basically in same boat they only tell them it happened but won’t disclose whether it was minor or major when where or how they are fixing it , I’d hate to be them right now it’s totally out of their hands and ya know their phones are ringing off hook everybody wanting to know what’s going on , just bad situation all around but I’m sure all our trucks will be made right and shipped to us as soon as they can :)
Since mine showed to have been removed from hail damage hold on the 17th. The storm had to be before that date. image001.png

Got some new photo's of my truck after getting it PPF'd (Hood, Fenders, A-Pillars, Headlight, Fogs and Black Sides) as well as full Ceramic Coating.

As some might notice and I'm really happy I went with is getting the Black Side PPF'd with a clear matte film! I think it turned out really well as it now blends the front and rear bumpers in nearly perfectly. Last picture is before all the work was done to show the different.

Yup, the hail had to occur between 4/5 and 4/12. I got the dealer to send me my trucks updates.

Looks like mine shipped out just to get to the rail yard in Missouri and then get called back to Mexico. I am not too thrilled to know I am getting an already damaged and repaired truck. And who knows how long it’ll sit now back in Mexico to get fixed and reshipped.

Looks fantastic, nice work! Picking mine up tomorrow, then she goes on lockdown for the ceramic coating.

The bright side of this is that I guess they are going back to the plant and have new factory parts / panels replaced versus having 3rd party body shop fix them and the longer it takes the bigger the down payment gets which is definitely good! Still like to be bolting on goodies myself though

Alas, I went through the process fairly smooth and got hit with the dreaded hail storm. Built 3/27 and sitting at the outside vendor as far as I knew when the storm hit. Dealer has an informal hold code on mine. The next question is does anyone know if the informal hold means there was damage, or rather that the truck was at the plant when it happened and they need to inspect every truck before they leave as a precaution? The informal part leads me to believe it’s a precautionary thing and not definite.

Great question! My truck was completed 2/25 and delivery was expected to be 4/15. If hail swept through the area, I have a good chance of being a casualty. I asked my dealer and he inquired.

Yea I asked also, as mine was produced 3/22. But apparently the last event is KZLD, just a delay. Other than the hail storm none of us know when it occurred, the train system had a delay for a month in march, supposedly fixed.

What a cluster F this is.

Not trying to rub salt in any wounds but wanted to share progress as a data point. This order is flying through the build process.
Congrats! Based on the Apr 27 to 6/13 delivery, mine would not be delivered in time for my 6/9 road trip. Oh well.

Hopefully you missed the hail mine was built in end march and shipped April 11 with an original EAD of May 10 but was unfortunately in middle of hail storm and currently waiting to see which way it goes in couple weeks, all well if it starts heading towards MD due to minimal damage but if goes back towards plant for serious work from damage if they don’t do build over I’m going to re order , to hard spend that kind of money on truck that’s been took apart put back together Due to serious damage and hasn’t even been titled yet
I was built 3/16 & have been sitting in Mexico since. Now I'm worried I also took hail damage. Although my Est Delivery still says May 3rd.

Welcome to the club. Attempting to get dealer to provide additional information. If hail damage remotely possible will not take delivery of truck.
