Side to side, between rails for Leer 650 cover
Back of box, which makes sense given the cover 60 inches and 7/16

I fought and fought and fought some more before I measured and found out WHY I couldn't get the cover to set in there in the front.

Question now is what they heck I do about it? Assuming a trip to the dealer....

Wow.

I bet this is why I can’t get my MX4 bed cover to close at the back!

They have sent me 3 different covers and none of them would close on the back at the last section.

Now I feel bad. I thought they had a QC issues but maybe it’s Ram.

Try measuring and see what is what.

The beds are tapered. They won’t measure the same at the front and the back.

Been like that for years.

that is not out thats normal, if it was not you would clearly see it as the bed would be wider than the cab or the tailgate would be to far out to fit

For the HDs and 1500 Classics, the bed hasn't changed since 4th Gen, right? So...same since 2009?
