I 100% agree, i test drove a F450 lariat just simply for curiosity sake. It was a relatively nice truck, although still a ton of plastic, and the fit and finish i felt was poor. Driving positioning just didnt.. hug? me like a ram does, and the center stack seriously looks like thomas edison had input on it, super dated. I was glad i took it for a drive though to just reaffirm that ill always drive a ram. They were 4,000$ more right off the hop for a lariat 5500 vs laramie 5500 for what felt like a downgrade, and dealer had zero interest in moving on pricing and almost treated me like i couldnt be serious ordering a 100k truck, which i despise. I will give him this though, he did call about a week after we talked to see if i was still interested in an order, and i had said sorry! threw in an order on a ram 5500 the second i left your office.

Sure makes a person wonder how someone would walk in off the street and be ok paying 20,000$ over MSRP, even if you NEEDED the truck that day. To me thats nothing short of blatent robbery for what i feel is a less superior product. My father inlaws 22 GMC at4 is 10x the truck that ford i test drove was.

another funny note! and why i just simply dont trust dealers.... i had mentioned before that i may walk in with 0, 5, 10,000$ to put down maybe, they keep plugging me to see if i am putting anything down constantly. I find this odd, and i almost never put money down at signing because iam wary that that actual amount is going down on the principal and not into dealerships pockets, i always put my cash down directly to the bank after signing. I think at this point after ordering so many trucks/trading them in ive heard every excuse, and seen so many tactics. More often than not, there certainly not there to get YOU the best deal, just curious how far youll bend over. Iam also guilty!
all I have owned is ford but after I test drove a ram I had to admit that I like them better than I thought I would hints one reason i ordered one. To me Cummins has always built one of the best engines. The only down side to ram is they charge extra for stuff that is standard on ford but I am not paying over MSRP any truck

check the fine print. I bet somewhere on there it states its an estimate or gives them a loophole to use if they need it.
I checked mine and the price can only change if the vehicle included new state or federally mandated equipment.

Oh they are scum. I bought a Toyota from Reinhardt Toyota in Montgomery AL right after i got out of basic in 93. we worked a deal on a purchase price, then they convinced me to lease it. A year later when I went to buy the truck, they had changed the numbers to MSRP. I called the dealership and they stated I should have double checked the numbers. They were right and i learned an expensive lesson. Since then I have seen it all. Its enough to wonder how sales people dont end up dead on a dirt road somewhere. The are just crooked, dirty, lying, mentally disturbed Narcissists. There is no worse human on earth that a car salesman. No ethics, morals, or conscious. I would rather order direct from RAM than have with dealership scum.
So know this. take you calculator, know the auto sales tax in your area, double check them, check their math. Do your own financing or at least know what the going rate you qualify for. They lie cheat and steal. Ive seen them add 2 points to an interest rate to make backend money. Ive caught them increaseing the sales tax collected for an out of state purchase. Just nasty humans. Dont trust them.
Spot on. I went into my deal with mark dodge with this mindset. I even had them put in writing that I wouldn't be obligated to take the truck if it didn't come exactly as ordered. I triple checked all their numbers all the way to the end. Only mistake was that they left off my Pennfed discount and I caught it. I do believe it was an oversight. This was my first brand new car purchase due to all the scumbags I had attempted to deal with in the past.

YEP! especially if you have a trade. Mine was in writing as well. Only reason i checked 3/4s of the way through the build was because of this forum and all the information provided. Thank god i did check, and was able to take my dealer to task on it.

Has your vehicle been delivered? If so, any deviation in price from them? I also ordered from Mark Dodge and I'm not worried that the deal will change but I have thought about it .

I spoke with Ram Care just now and they stated that the "Brand Mentors" stated my vehicle has shipped on October 12th, (Built and Shipped on 07-27 & KZLD status since then). I asked who are the "Brand Mentors," to which the guy stated they are the people who can get more info about the vehicle than they (Ram Care) can and that the "Brand Mentors" are just waiting for further information. Has anyone else heard of these "Brand Mentors" and do they really exist or are they a magical creature who only exist in Neverland or another Dimension? I know it is October and Halloween is approaching, that is why I did not know if this is a fictional creature created for Halloween by Ram and these Mentors are the new Wizard of Oz per say.

they exist. you will start getting useless emails form them about stuff you already know. Youll probably get and email from one of them introducing themselves to you. then if the status changes youll get another one. they will not reply to anything you send them. I think they are a BOT to be honest. Let me know if you get Cara. she was less than useless.

That's the name I got the email from telling me my truck was built and waiting for shipping schedule, nothing that I hadn't known and stated to them in my initial email. Haven't heard anything since, but don't know if anyone can give any real info with how disorganized things seem in Mexico

Yes, I took delivery in August. Sticker price had increased about 5k or so. They honored the original price.

I chatted with Ram Care yesterday and was told a "Specialist" would reach out to me within 1 business day (technically should have been today) and gave me a case number. I got nothing today from them.

@OfficerDirtySanchez please mark #1404 delivered.

Ordered 3/19, delivered 10/17.

Many thanks to those on here that kept me sane the last several months, and especially those that provide the information on this thread that makes it what it is

Per my sales guy; the regular PPI tech is out today, so it won't be ready before CoB today. My sales guy is off Tuesdays, so I will be signing papers Wednesday afternoon

Wish it was that easy, hundreds maybe thousands of keys lost in the last year while the truck sits in the final shipping yard.
did anyone check ebay?

Not really believing the estimated delivery.
sometimes its the date to move to the next step, in this case when it may ship other times is the actual expected delivery date - just to keep you on your toes
For those who have received their trucks, how long did the dealership take to inspect the vehicle? Does anyone know the inspection procedures? My truck arrived at the dealership Friday morning and has been going through the inspection since Friday around noon. I was told it would be ready for pick up Saturday evening, then I was informed the inspection wasn’t completed yet and it would be ready this evening. Just got a call and was told not today, maybe tomorrow but Wednesday at the latest. I have never ordered a vehicle before and I don’t know if this a normal procedure. The sales rep said there is nothing wrong with the vehicle the inspection just takes time.
there is a pdi checklist in the forum take a gander - https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-ram-owner-pdi-checklist-and-faq.9734/

hah! also heard that about ford this morning. I follow that JB reviews on youtube, Ram guy. And he was trying to buy a 22 F450, but the dealer was charging 26,000$ OVER Msrp. Said the best the dealer would do is 20,000$ over MSRP.

So ya as of right now my window sticker is 91,935$, and they have my truck listed on their website for basically 98,000$, so basically 6035$ more than i paid. I bet their hoping i walk! Its supposed to have rolled into the rail yard today, which is 2.5 hrs from dealer, so hopefully iam only 2 weeks out or so
You should be able to pull up the current window sticker, either from the dealer website or Monroney. Or is that the one that is at $91,935?

Yep....mine has been "elevated" several times now. I was also advised that I would receive an email with Ram's new tracker website to receive the most up-to-date information on each step of the process. I advised that I have had this from the beginning. They assured me it was a different and new website. It was the same one. Just amazing that you spend this amount of money and this is what you get in return....

I didn't have to put anything down when we signed for the order. I have asked the salesman since then to make sure the price won't go up since the May 3rd order. He stated that it can't since we signed the argeement when we ordered the truck. Anyone else have anything like this change on them?

I ordered a truck pretty close to yours and have been in the same status as you on the same date....our trucks are probably sitting next to each other in MX.....
