Week 5 going on week 6 sitting in Baltimore rail yard awaiting transport to Koons CDJR in Virginia. Essentially given up at this point and have begun looking at alternatives no matter the cost.

I’m sure that’s frustrating, but giving up on the truck this far in??

I owe y’all some better pics than what I have collected. This day has taken a toll on me, flying from JAX to LCH thru DFW, going over the truck with Kody, then driving to Biloxi I’m ready for a nap.

I got to meet Sandi, and gave her a hug, real sweet lady. She was training another eSalesrep, Heather. Kody was more than helpful with me, checking equipment and going over things…but I couldn’t bring myself to put him through the Trailer Surround check…that thing is intimidating first look!

Kody said “it’s like Christmas in here, you must’ve ordered everything”

I’m a little ADD, so I got wrapped up in the tech gizmos and started veering off the checklist…I was so tired I didn’t want to hookup the cameras, and I spared Kody the misery of setting up the trailer surround, it’s just so many little wires that I didn’t want to get it all out.

It was definitely a different kind of experience buying a vehicle.

Have a look at the one I have been working on in my sig, it contains a lot of the HD specific things people have noticed but whos warnings and advice are now buried deep in 1500+ post threads.

That one listed earlier looks a lot like the one from the 5thGen forum and was the basis for the one I made.

The truck I saw came to upstate NY, someone stole the batteries so they could not move the vehicle off the train. The truck then stayed on the train and went back to Mexico where they turned it around and sent it back by rail to Saratoga NY. While on the train it moved around and hit another vehicle, what a story!!

Is it normal for it to take several weeks after the build to get any shipping info? Truck was built 3/7, I have been unable to get any info on shipping besides “it’s in the shipping phase with no ETA”.

Lately it seems like there is a huge backup at Saltillo. I can't believe how many trucks have been there 3-4 weeks at leasr waiting.

It kind of seemed that way to me, I was hoping I would at least had an estimated ship date. I guess I can’t complain at all though, many others have been waiting much longer.

Probably a long shot, but whatever site they use to check ETA has been down for about a week..anyone have insight on when it’ll be back up and running? Both ramchat and dealer can’t see anything and just say to check back in a few days.

I was told by my dealer today that there was a security breach/possible hack and the system was shut down until they can resolve it. No updates till then.

Very welcome, please just keep it in mind for after you pick up that 3500. I would like to keep it a living document well after I get mine too, so if you can take a sec afterwards and provide a little feedback I would appreciate it.
