Remember when white wagon wheels were big back in the 70's and early 80's?
Yes I do and they turned out to be the less expensive wheel to buy when compared to the other wheels. Also usually the paint chipped off within a year and they started to rust. They didn't know what primer paint was back then either. On the positive side I remember seeing those wheels for $99 or less depending on the size.

For those of you that have ordered from MD, are they requiring a down payment to order?
Yes, $1000 non-refundable.
Normally, I would not agree to this. But with the deal I got, knowing I want the truck, and knowing that I can wait for it as my existing truck is just fine made it agreeable.

Did you sign any paperwork for your order or put a deposit down? If not, cancel the order. I placed my first order with my local dealer. It was for MSRP of course. After reading this forum I asked them for some paperwork on the order so there would be no games with pricing when the truck arrived. They sent me the paperwork with MSRP plus $5,000. I had a feeling that would happen so I’m very glad I asked for papers. I told them what they could do with it and went to MD. Sandi saved me $10,800 on my order. Actually it would be $15,800 with the additional that they put on it. Don’t feel bad about playing hardball or going out of town. When you are looking at something this expensive there is no room for friends.
I put $1000 down on the order and got a price sheet for the truck with the out the door price. Still happy with the price because it’s not MSRP+ but would have been nice to save some extra by knowing about MD

Had to do the same with Dave Smith. Claim too many people were backing out of orders. We all know they will sell the truck for more anyway.

They can sell it eventually for more, they are stuck with it at least a month though.

I ordered mine from a somewhat local dealership, just one state over. I didn’t even know that online was an option.
I was the same as you. Talked to a salesman at my local Florida Dodge dealer, where i have purchased FOUR vehicles from them since 2003.
They said in the current economy, If I ordered, I would have to pay Full sticker price. Well…. ok, I did.
A month later, I stumbled onto this site and learned of Mark Dodge. My salesman has been great! Ordered a truck from them and saved 11% off of the same build. I ordered 12-8-21. I was updated yesterday with D1 status and delivery date of 2-2-22.

Central Florida Dodge dealer has lost my business forever!,

AC254C47-1505-4FA5-853A-803F93E350E3.jpegWell the eagle has landed. My sales guy sent a video of it being unloaded. May be able to pick it up tonight if they can get it through the shop. I’m damn excited. So far the experience has been ok. Sucks waiting but not terrible. The dealer has been great. I hope it finishes smooth too. Here is a crappy pic from the video.

Order: 10/21

That would have been very nice to know about 2 weeks ago lol. I ordered mine from a local dealer for MSRP because most dealerships here are marking them up above MSRP
I feel your pain. I'm paying $800 over invoice and didn't find out about MD until a few weeks after I ordered.

I think you can get a quote for comparison, but if you place an order, expect to pay a deposit.

Does anyone here that ordered from MD how much taxes did you pay if you live in Texas I already ordered my truck back in September and it’s in D1 status according to the dealer it will probably ship sometime in late January and I wanted to account for the extra money that I have to add to the truck price when I buy it from them I know some people that paid like $400 on top of their truck price because they live in Florida and Florida has different tax brackets than Texas I’m just trying to figure out how much I need to account for the taxes and paperwork fees or DMV fees any help with would be appreciated thank you

the deposit is obviously to incentivize us to take delivery of what we ordered. If we dont MD has to sit on the truck for 30 days, and I presume that jacks up their allocation which hurts everyone.

MD takes the 6.25% sales tax that TX requires

Out of curiosity, what do the shops do between the trucks being unloaded and when we drive them off the lot? My understanding is they do an inspection, but what is included in that and how long does it take for them to complete?
