I know! I'm trying to decide when I want to put my current truck up for sale. In Missouri you have six months to take sales tax off from another sold vehicle.
Me tooooooo. I know that it’s 5 months but that number is arbitrary at best.
I need my truck for work. I need to sell my existing truck to coincide with the delivery of my new truck. BUT Ram cares! Not! If it’s 6 or 7 months I’m fine, I just need to know. At the least they should convey some rime or reason so we, the worthless customer, can figure out how to go about our lives.
So I THINK I should put my truck up for sale when I get my build sheet. Then with my luck I’ll get interest when I’m on the plane to Mark Dodge and will miss the sale.
I’m ranting, but I’m also serious. 90k for a vehicle from a company who doesn’t give a rats ass about the customer. But it’s got a Cummins and I still think it’s better than a ford or GMC. So here I am, waiting. And waiting! And WAITING!!!

Congrats on the new truck ... hoping mine is here by March! please tell me more about the ceramic tint and ceramic coating ... also, what undercoating did you get? I definitely want to make that my first stop. thanks for any info you can provide

I’m planning on…

Fluid Film rust prevention first, then…
PremiumShield PPF over most of the truck (clearbra)…
GlassParency Graphene coating (ceramic)…

…all installed for me.

Also:

Undercover ArmorFlex tonneau
RAM molded splash guards F and R

For those of you ordering trucks in the Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania area, where Lordstown Ohio will be your truck’s final rail point, the sheet below will give you an idea of what you’re looking at from the KZ to KZ-X part of the process. Of course this is subject to change, but this sheet documents the entire journey my truck took from loading in Saltillo Mexico to Unloading at the dealership. I’m missing the first few entries from Mexico to Oklahoma City OK because I had not yet begun to receive the updates from the rail company.

Hopefully this will give some of you a better idea of the time frame you’re looking at and allow you to better plan for your truck’s arrival.

I have a build sheet I could get with the VIN, no status codes listed and no window sticker. Supposedly it's to ship on 12/3. Where are these codes that tell you the status?

Paperwork done and 40 miles under my belt already. This thing is unbelievable. It is incredible how much they’ve improved these since my 2017. Now I’m trying to get the goodies bolted on before the temperature drops!

I still have my 99 2500, love it, what is your 2001?
1500 quad cab, club cab, whatever they called it with the suicide doors in the back, dark red over gray/silver. 4x4, basic trim. Bought used, traded a 2000 Durango with hail damage for it. plus $$ on my side. Needed a pickup, but kinda regretted the trade. That Durango was awesome.

I too was amazed at how well my dually drove, it was better than my 19 SRW longhorn. Even with my Thuren 2.25 leveling kit and 275x65x20" mud tires I just put on it still drives amazing.

Beautiful truck, congrats!

Know what you mean. Mines a 01 1500 I bought new and has all the bells and whistles available in 01. Love the truck but needed something to haul my new 5th wheel that's 41' long. Somebody's gonna get a helluva deal on my 01, it's only got 56,000 miles on it. :)

Yup, my 2001 is a bit ragged, and yes, that side step is the passenger side on put on the drivers, rust is a thing ya know. It was well used when I got it. I still have that 22 ft bumper pull, but dreams of a 5th wheel, and figured I'd best get the truck first, then the 5th wheel, and maybe retirement somewhere in the mix. Wife isn't a camping sort, but hey, that means I get to watch what I want LOL. Westerns it is. Gonna trade or sell my commuter CRV as well as I work remote most of the time now, so the Longhorn will be my daily driver. Funny thing, looking forward to my 'out with the old, in with the new' picture, my old truck, CRV, and new Longhorn are all the dark red. I guess I have a type LOL.

Last year I test drove a cummins long box on my way home from a cowboy action shooting match, it was a limited and I was sold. Gotta say I like the Longhorn trim better, and the hemi short box as it will be a daily driver. But dang, sure nice trucks.

Quick question guys. My salesman informed me my truck is due for delivery any day now. They offered me a promo deal for a 3m protection film install. Full hood, quarter panels, bumper and rocker panels. Now i know my 2021 2500 i traded in for this new 3500 im getting already had a rock chip in the bumper within 1000 miles so I'm leaning to get it. Just seeing anyone has experience or feedback on the clear protection film?

I think your gonna be super happy. My truck is an ‘06 2500 Diesel and I drove a new 3500 diesel for a test drive and was astounded. Drives way better then my 3/4 ton and with a better turning radius.
so did you do your shoot at Ben Lomond?

No, out at Great Guns Sporting, the Pawnee Station group east of Ft Collins, stopped in Greeley on the way back.
