Big day today. Drove up to Morrow, Ohio, to have the rest of my "big gear" installed by Nuthouse Industries. This is the third truck I've worked with them on, and every time it's perfect. Tom, Ryan, Selina and Andy are absolutely incredible to work with, and their products are incredibly well built.

Truck is a 2021 AEV Prospector XL. Previous mods are:
  • CJC Offroad foglight kit with Baja Designs SAE squadron (yellow)
  • 20x12 Black Rhino Armory with Yokohama Geolandar X-MT 40x15.50 tires
  • Calibrated Power tune
  • AEV 7000-series front lights (insanely bright)
Today I added:
  • Nuthouse full-extension aluminum bed slide with ARB Elements fridge cutout (1000# capacity)
  • Nuthouse 10" bed rack made to clear Ramboxes
  • Nuthouse coiling cover designed to integrate with rack and Ramboxes
  • iKamper skycamp 2.0
Everything fit perfectly, can't wait to get out and put it all to work.

First picture is of initial mods - all others are from today.

Awesome build! Almost went with Nuthouse, but got impatient.

How do you like the AEV lights? Just ordered the light mounting kit for my bumper and was looking hard at some Baja Designs LP9’s, but like the look of the AEV’s.

I was looking at the light mount kit instructions and the mounting didn’t seem compatible with the BD LPs

Yeah, Nuthouse has a pretty full list of orders, they are currently booking into June. Fortunately my stuff is relatively small compared to some of their orders and they were kind to squeeze me in.

The AEV lights are massively bright, to the point where i can’t honestly imagine having 4 of them up front. It’s more than enough to see well down the road.

Great looking truck man. You mention your truck being a Prospector XL, I assume you mean either a numbered truck or utilizing their suspension, is that correct?

Have you had the chance to take it across a scale yet? Curious what she weighs with that setup.

Thanks! Yes, a numbered truck direct from RAM/AEV. Haven’t weighed it, but might take it across a scale next time I’m on a long haul.

I'd be curious to know. I keep going back and forth between going 40s and flares or not and overall weight is something I'm curious about. Great looking truck!

I debated going white on mine for a while but I had a white jeep recently and wanted something different. Your rig looks amazing!
Yeah I love the white but the Granite I think looks better with the night edition. Regardless I am loving this 1ton beast. But i am a stupid fan of 40 tires……I priced it out last night once again aghhhhhh. The fenders look like a nightmare to install.

I think most of the kit is a nightmare, especially the front bumper. It takes the AEV team a full day to do it and they’ve done dozens if not over a hundred.

Got out to west Texas to play a little in the big bend area, one of my favorite places on earth. Truck did great as a 1500-mile cruiser to big bend, and handled beautifully off-road. Love this thing.

It also makes a 17-foot long canoe look kind of small.
