My buddy has a 2011 3500 and asked if I could program a key fob for him with my alphaOBD. I told him we could hook it up and see what happens. Not wanting to break anything, I did some reading first. I haven't been able to figure out how I would know if he has an ELV/ESCL.
I figured out what they are, but not how to tell if he has them or not. Supposedly if he has them, I need to tell the RFhub that they were replaced after key programming. But, if he doesn't have them and I tell the hub they were replaced, the computer fries itself out of spite.
