Hi all,

Recently took delivery of a 2023 2500. I did not receive the 2 3/4" to 2" hitch adapter (PN 68165918AA). I read some earlier threads that the adapter was included with 2022 trucks. Is there anyone with a 2023 that received the adapter?
Thanks,

My 22 did not come with one, either. At first I didn't even realize that the HD's did not have a 2" hitch, until I tried to put my receiver in ;-)
But they're not really expensive.

Thanks DrTron. Did you buy the Mopar adapter? If so, it looks like it has a lip on the outside. end. When you insert up to the lip are the holes in the receiver and adapter in alignment?

I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004J8FRCK
It has a bit of play to it, but I guess all of them do due to the receiver-in-adapter-in-hitch configuration.
Since I only occasionally tow a small 5x10' trailer, that works for me. For a major load like a camping trailer I'd probably go with a proper 2.5" receiver.

My 2023 didn’t come with one. Luckily still have the one that came with my 2018.

Walmart has something similar a few bucks cheaper. I agree with you to get 2.5" for heavier loads.

My 23 Rebel 2500 bought in May included the adapter.
My Rebel arrived in June. Just contacted my dealer and they told me it's not included. Maybe some dealers are throwing it in with the truck purchase.

Jeez, everything gets marginalized now it seems and you start paying more for less as time goes on and you end up becoming more and more numb to it. I lucked out w/my 21 I guess as I have one - only realized after I bought one on Amazon.

I received adapter with my 2018 2500 and with my 2022 2500. Both trucks are diesel and came with factory tow package. The fifth wheel prep, trailer brake module and what ever else it comes in tow package. Maybe that’s why I got the adapter too.

My ’22 came with the adapter in a white cloth bag under the rear seat.

My poverty edition tradesman '19 came with it. Just asked a buddy and his '23 Big Horn did not. Different dealers, both in central Texas. Might be a situation where some dealers throw 'em in for free and some don't?
