Well this isn't off to a great start... I had the radio touch screen "freeze" the other week (full shutdown of truck fixed that for now) and Saturday got the Check Engine Light. Thankfully had a Kiwi ODBII reader with me so I was able to pull the codes and clear them to see if they come back.

The codes were P24B5 and P24C9.

According to DTCDecode:

P24B5
Particulate Matter Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low
Causes:
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT (SCR RELAY 2 CIRCUIT) OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT (SCR RELAY 2 CIRCUIT) SHORTED TO GROUND
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT (SCR RELAY 2 CIRCUIT) SHORTED TO SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
PARTICULATE MATTER (PM) SENSOR

P24C9
Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit High
Causes:
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT (SCR RELAY 2 CIRCUIT) SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
GROUND CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
PARTICULATE MATTER (PM) SENSOR

So hopefully just a "fluke" but will keep an eye on this.

And... sure enough. It's the sensor and no parts to be had anywhere! 14,000km bought in December and now VOR'd.

Worst part is we are now down a vehicle in the family and had a camping trip next weekend....

If anyone finds these sensors I think I'll start carrying a spare!

Well will wonders never cease... the sensor was replaced a while back and I'm now at 40,000 km and boom... check engine light.

Scanned and P24D1 came up with pending P24B5 and P24C9.... same sensor gone bad again....
