12,xxx miles on stock transforce tires

Just over 12k miles.

That's how long the stock tires lasted for me. I was down to the wear marks and rotated frequently (every 2k approx) and once I reached the wear marks the tires started chunking out. Not complaining or anything, just wanted to serve as a data point for the stock tires so others can know what to expect to at least get if they keep them on.

I am probably the worst case scenario for tire wear, towing almost 100% of the time and making tight turns. Lots of dirt/gravel and highway mixed.

I'm about 22,XXX on my stock Transforce and they're about used up. I don't tow every day but when I do it's usually for longer distances and heavier loads. I have kept these rotated and set my tire pressure around 45-50psi.

These are going in the trash as soon as my local tire shops start getting more AT's in stock. Hard to find any locally that are D/E rated.
 
So just like the garbage goodforayears they put on the 1500s.
 
About 23K on mine with at least 8k towing a fifth wheel. Still looking fairly good and not down to the bars just yet. Might get 30k but that would be pushing for sure.
Prolly change them out when it turns wet again or just maybe try to get a 22 and forget about this cp4 crapola

My brother did this with a few trucks.....time for tires? Trade it in lol.

I find them annoying going over the cracks in the tarmac with a thud that resonates right through the truck, funny enough they seem to take bigger bumps ok and train tracks etc.
 
Mine were 1/2 worn at 9500km (6000miles ish) so i would be right about the same if i would have kept them instead i sold them to a crackhead for 500$ lol

my coopers i am at about 75% tread and 20k km on them (12.5k miles) im pretty happy with that
 
Buying new tires is not a trivial small cash outlay these days for sure. Doubtful you could get out the door with 4 new tires installed for less than 1k. Easy to almost double that or even more with good tires bumping up tire size.

This is 100% correct. I'm a cheap person by nature so I try to get my money's worth out of anything I buy. This year it's gonna bite me in the @$$ though when I need to put new tires on the truck, wifes 4Runner, and my SXS.
 
23,000 on my 2019 RAM 2500 and tires still look great. About 5,000 of those have been towing.
However, when I have to replace them I will go with Michelins.
On my old 2004 2500 CTD I used only 3 sets in 180,000 miles.
Closest model to what I used is the Michelin X LT/AS
 
I had about 45k miles on my 2018 and they were still not near the wear bars. About 6500 miles of towing an 8500 pound TT and light off roading.

Yeah I am about 23K miles on mine. Haven't rotated them, haven't towed. Just highway miles. I'll have to take a closer look on how they look...but I don't think they look too terrible. I have a new set waiting to replace them.
 
Yeah, I am definitely worst case scenario for tire wear the way I use the truck. Any set of tires will wear out much faster with my use case, but I have had another brand of tire last more than twice this much with the same usage. That was on our '17 3500.

It was to be expected though, I just wanted to provide a data point for worst case scenario and remind everyone to rotate frequently with these stock tires.
 
Here’s my stock transforce HT front and rear with 14,500 and never rotated. A lot of those miles towing the camper also. Not a fan of those. Totally crappy spec for a truck with the off-road package. I got that package because I spend at least 50% of my time on dirt/gravel/off-road, these tires suck for that. However, I do have 11k on them and they are wearing well, can't complain about that, I just think they suck for anything off pavement. In fact, they even suck on wet pavement.

I would definitely agree on wet pavement. I hit a wet spot on the freeway the other day in a turn...could feel the truck start sliding and traction control lights lit up the dash! These tires really suck. Granted though it is a spot on I10 near downtown Houston that is always wet and likely a pooling spot for all the oils and fluids coming off vehicles on the road. I also switched lanes right before it happened, so the weight of the truck definitely shifted as I hit the wet spot. Either way, I have less than 4k on these tires they should grip far better than they do.
