New to HD ram but was excited to get a 2019 Cummins Limited a couple of weeks ago after looking for a nice one for a month or so. Started having problems about two weeks ago and have an appointment next Tuesday with the local RAM dealer to look at it.
It started with two warnings showing up “blind spot alert temp unavailable” and “left rear turn signal light out”. They both flashed regularly and often, then multiple other warning began to pop up as well, “normal ride height achieved” “service trailer brake system” “service air suspension system immediately” and others as well . Plus multiple idiot lights keeping showing up as I drive it.
Then yesterday the Sirius radio began to act up like it was looking for a signal. Eventually the screen on the dash and the entire 12” screen went black it lasted for at least five minutes and happened several times. Finally when I opened the door to get out the automatic side step would not deploy.
Two of the big reasons I wanted a Limited was for the 12” Uconnect and the automatic steps. Can’t believe these are the things making me wish. I had listened to my two sons and went with the Ford Superduty.
I hope they can fix this soon, but am not optimistic after reading multiple post here. If it continues I will be looking to trade it and take my losses. Hopefully that won’t happed.

Sorry for your troubles. Should not happen. My 12" display has been glitchy, but nothing like what you've got going on. If anybody thinks the grass is greener on the blue oval side, let me assure you it is not. Been there, done that numerous times. Finally had to give up on Ford years ago.

Sounds like the sort of oddities that happen with a bad/stale battery, that would be my bet.
Certainly a possibility, along with a flaky ground, or improperly seated fuse(s). Many possibilities, though.

Hello John,
We certainly understand why this would be concerning. What we are able to do from this level would be to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for an additional layer of support as you work with your dealer. This will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.
If you are interested in beginning this process, please send our team a private message with your VIN. Thank you,

Kathryn

Updated today by the RAM dealer. When I dropped it off at the dealer Tuesday morning they plugged it in and said it had well over 30 “codes” showing. Finally today they called and told me that it randomly spikes to 18 volts and that is causing everything to go haywire.
They don’t know why it is doing it and will be trying to figure it out next week. Hopefully they can figure it out and get it fixed and it doesn’t cause any lasting issues.
Really like to know if anyone has suggestions on getting an extended warranty and what they should cost and if they are worth it and if there are recommended companies to buy from. Thanks. JM

Got my truck back today. It ended up being what 1HasBeen said it was. The main ground cable to the frame in the driver side wheel well was loose. Everything seems fine now. I really love this truck and am relieved it was something minor.
Really appreciate the input from you all.

Just wanted to say that you were right about what was wrong with my truck. The main ground cable to the frame was loose. They tightened it and everything seems fine now. Thanks, JM

Check Zeigler online. Unless you're in FL where you are stuck paying full retail. https://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/

You can also add on some discount codes, and contact them for best pricing.

I did so then worked a deal $100 less with my selling dealer at time of delivery. Paid $1,074 as I recall for 8 years/60K (not a daily driver).

Remember the extended is an add on to the bumper-bumper 3/36 and is more about what is excluded (normal wear/tear, maint items, and the DPF basically).

There's a whole giant thread here about extended warranties (and most other topics).
