I just had my 3.25 commuter installed on my 2023 3500 Dually w/Aisin (Crew/4wd).

Went with a 2” block in the back in lieu of the progressive add a pack (can’t do it with the Dually they said) or the full leaf. 2” should have leveled the truck.

After taking the before/after measurements I only got 2 1/4- 2 1/2” of lift out of the coils. Not sure why. I know it should have been at the 3” end of the 3-3.25” they quote due to the moment arm and weight of the front end, but not 2 1/4”.

The truck has almost a stock rake to it after the install. The kit was confirmed and spec’d by CJC. It got finished up Friday night late so couldn’t contact CJC.

I’m also getting a pretty significant vibration over 50mph. I dropped it off at the installer early this morning for troubleshooting. It’s on 37s. Hopefully it’s a tire, however they were just balanced by a shop.

Something is different about the suspension on these 2023 Duallys. I think it has to do with the rear. My pre install rake was almost 4”. I know for a fact the 2021-2022 that wasn’t the case. Regular block and u bolt kits for a 5g don’t fit so something is new and different.

It will be interesting to see what they say at CJC. Seems the crew cab short beds have had no issues at all. I’m really hoping this isn’t a driveline vibration. I keep reading that other lift manufacturers say you can’t go higher than a 3” because you can’t index or reclock or drop the transmission on a Aisin Dually. Given basically only got a 2.25” level out of the front end coils I should not be having any issues. Hoping one of the tires is out of balance.

I’m going to have them ensure by the spring part # that they are the correct springs.

I didn’t take a picture of the overall rake but this is the front end. There’s the before and after photos in same location for comparison. Tire is exactly 5” taller. You can see compared to other 37” installs, it’s about an inch short.

Keep you all posted and if anyone has any ideas on the unexpected results of this install please share. In the meantime I’ll let my installer who is awesome dig into it.

That sucks, it goes without saying vibration issues are a PIA. I have a 2023 SRW SB 3500 that I put the Carli 3.25 backcountry kit with the add a leaf and 1” blocks. Also am running g 37’. The truck pretty much leve
ed out.

I was worried about issues so I did it in steps, ran stock for a month or so, put the lift in and Ram it for a day or so, then added the 37’ and new wheels. This way if there as an issue o would know what caused it.

Do you have the stock wheels/tires to put back on for a test?

I dont have any answers to your questions but I can tell you that Spring seat pictured is incorrectly installed. The little nipple is smashed and should be inserted into the hole, it is causing the seat to sit funny on the spring.. i would drop the axle again and realign the top seat to allow the nipple in the alignment hole.

Whoever did the install should not be working on customer vehicles. There is no excuse for incorrect isolater install. You have a heavy truck. 2-1/4” might be all you get with springs designed for a crew non aisin truck. Just pick up a 1” traxda coil spacer to solve your problem.

Or use the power wagon isolators

I installed the Carli 2.5 system on my 3500. The kit included 1" rear blocks because my truck has the standard rear leaf's. I ended up with 2" of lift from the front springs and the rear blocks made the rear sit 1.5" higher. I ended up removing the rear blocks and looks pretty much level now.
I contacted Carli via email and pics of the results of my install but they pretty much told me to remove the rear blocks if I didn't like the look

Okay she’s done…. It’s been a journey.

Here’s the deets you all need to know:

1. 2023 Dually Crew has new higher overloads. 1” block all that is needed to level. Not 2”. The Carli Full leaf pack will level it as well

2. The Crew Dually differs from the SRW 6.5’ bed. The 3.25” coil only gives 2.25-2.5” of actual
Lift. With the higher overload spring and rear end the 3.25” coil LEVELS the truck. I added a Stryker (coordinated with Carli) 1” steel upper coil drop bracket for the coil to get to 3.25”. With the 1” block it leveled. It was a three part trial and error to get to this point. I have a Bighorn trim. Nobody knows why the coil comes up short. It’s a great kit. I’ll be adding the sway bar and upper stabilizer in a couple months. Also in a couple months for Fall and Winter into early spring I’ll be switching from my tow wheels/tires for the 5er to 37x12.5s on the Black 17 stock Alcoas. It’s a Carli staple for the Duallys! I love the Bubba look guys. Don’t hate.

That’s exactly what happened with me. They need to engineer a new 3.25” coil for the 2023s. I think the engine or front end is heavier and for sure the overload spring is 1.5” higher than the 2022.

Your truck looks great. Yep, a little extra work to get it right but happy in the end.
I was wondering if it's since I have the HO/Aisin adding extra weight but I doubt that would lose a 1/2" of lift

No I think that’s what it is. I lost almost an entire inch. Also the long bed crew cab wheel base also contributes. The front weight it sitting 1.5-2’ further from the rear wheel and that adds a higher force on the front axle. Just physics. So crew cab long bed with Aisin and HO- Yup there’s our difference. That 3-3.25” is based on a short bed crew cab prior to the HO option. I’m sure of it.

Super weird on the different suspension. yes on the isolators.. they installed them incorrectly. I just finished a Carli 2.5" level on my 2021 DRW. Youre right, the front springs along with 2" rear block has mine sitting just about perfect.

If anyone may be looking for a Carli 3.25” commuter kit taken off the truck please let me know. I’m going high with a 6” or 8” Stryker/BDS combo. It’s not off but when I do this later in Fall and you’re interested I can pre-arrange it. Willing to let it go for a bargain to anyone who wants it. I am however possibly keeping the track bar, not entirely sure. As of now it’s only been driven a thousand miles.
