4500 vs 5500
It's not my trailer so I'm not sure of some of the specs off-hand which is kinda dumb to be honest but I'll find out and let you guys know. -

I don't know the max pin weight but I do know it'll be maxed out occasionally... as for gears I was considering 4.44 but I'm not sure as half the time I'm going thru central Illinois and the other half thru southern Ohio and west Virginia and I've never driven with anything higher than 4.10 -

Hey I'm new here. I'm looking to upgrade my truck and will be hauling a double deck 40 ft livestock trailer most of the time. Is the 5500 worth it or should I go with the 4500, thanks.
