Always prudent to skip the first year of any new model designation otherwise you end up being the test pilots. I'm sure you will get things sorted, but it does suck to have to deal with the problems/annoyances right after you sign the paperwork!
Good luck!
Do you need a truck or just want one? If you need one, with 24's they're deals to be had if you do your research. 25's I wouldn't go near until 1st year production passes and shows the problems....and there will be problems as with all 1st year models.
You are purposely idling for an hour minimum every workday? Bad for your motors emissions system, waste of fuel and unnecessary wear and tear.
At least take it for a ride on your lunch hour.
From time time time just turn it all off and just drive.
Remember when an open window, the hum of the motor, and just going for a drive meant everything? Try it...that view out of the actual windshield is so nice. Chances are you won't get lost and you might just find yourself humming a tune...
Some Highlights or perhaps lowlights? Paraphrasing ahead....
"Number 1 issue has been the 12 inch screen"
"Finally installed a new radio in it"
"Repairs attempted by 2 different dealers"
"I will file a complaint with NHTSA"
"Join every social media platform available to me and tell my story...
Do you NEED a truck now? If no, wait. Get what you want and let the 25 upgrades cook another year especially if you are getting he CTD. Never buy a first year anything.
#1 None. The price is the price you negotiate regardless of how the truck gets to you. Take the emotion out of it.
#2 If I have to wait to get ALL the options I want so be it. No compromises.
#3 Rebates, incentives, 0%. Take advantage even if it means delaying gratification.
You have put 12K miles on in 3 years? Other than 3 recommended oil changes (at the year interval) there isn't much to do except you need to drive your truck more.
Using a slow burn fuel or high(er) octane rated fuel has no more energy than fast burn low(er) octane.
Octane is just a rating of gas stability or its detonation point.
Use what the manual says....otherwise it is just a drag on your wallet.
