I have three issues. Already msg'd RamCares about them and taking it into my dealer tomorrow.

They are as follows:

1) Steering wheel creaks when is it warm in the cabin. Suspect there is something rubbing inside.
2) Sat Radio signal is weak and drops signal frequently. I previously has a 2018 Ram 1500 and never has this issue in the area I live in.
3) Truck tends to lug down in the RPM/stalls when backing up slight grades. Does it with or without a trailer attached. Has done it in my driveway, around town or in campsites.

Anyone with the 6.4 have a chirping squeaking sound (reminds me of a bad belt)? Sound emanates from engine bay and louder underneath the drivers side of the truck. Dealer says no noise even though I stood with the service manager and heard it. He says to me no abnormal sounds from the truck.

I have the squeaking noise at start up. From what I've read across several forums there isn't a fix yet and most dealers report it is normal. It drives me crazy though, especially when someone asks me what's wrong with your truck?

My rear slider wasn't closing correctly and makes a clicking sound when closing. The dealer lubed it up and it works now but still clicks a little. They are planning on taking the window out to look at it.

I also have the clunking noise from what sounds like the drivers side rear of the truck when hitting bumps. My 2015 did this also and it seems to be a somewhat common issue.

Hopefully these issues can get resolved as I still love the truck.

I have all the same issues as except for number 3. Would really like to get it fixed when I get first oil changed.

The various forums and youtube are chock-full of owners complaining about the air conditioning on these trucks. I hope Ram can figure it out and issue a fix for these folks. It's a shame.

I took my truck in yesterday to have the 3 items looked at. The stearing wheel creaking the couldn't replicate. The sat radio cutting out they said is normal for the truck. And the stalling they couldn't replicate.

When I went home after work I had the creaki g again and took a video to show the dealer today. When I was leaving the dealer the creaking came back again and the tech was outside so I showed him. They are going to check it out again tomorrow now.

Had my first issue. Cruising down the highway about 60mph and had drivers rear airbag blow and the Service Air Suspension Immediately message came on. Took it into the Ram dealer and said it'd take 3-4 days before they could look at it. Fortunately we have a large fleet and was able to get the service tech to have someone look at it quickly. Looked to be all twisted from the factory like it was half turned somehow. Haven't seen anything on this issue yet. But regardless, it looked very strange installation. 2019 Ram 2500 Megacab Limited 4x4 w/ 6,000 miles. Now we wait to see when they can get parts...

Hi leadfootstep,

Please send our team a message so that we can look into these parts and see if there is anything we do to speed up the process.

Wait...what? Rear air bag blew open with no impact or accident? Got pics?

So the Steering wheel creaking was a misrouted wiring harness. The tech rerouted it to its proper location and the creaking has stopped.

The sat radio issue remains. It's just a weak sensor.

The stalling issue wasn't found but they updated my tcm to a newer version in hopes that solves the issue

Back end sunk and amplified every bump in the road. Going across a bridge was jarring. But slowed way down, put hazards on and crept to the dealership....luckily was only a couple miles away. I've asked for pictures. We'll see if they provide.

Thanks. Nothing was hitched or being towed? Correct?

That’s not right if so...air bag should be designed to handle road bumps...

No trailer. Was headed for DOT physical. More bad news...airbag is on backorder. No known ETA at this time. That really pisses me off on an $80,000 truck.

a few issues i've seen come up in the 3100 miles that's been put on the truck.

1. the power steering makes a high pitched squeaking sound when turning left.
2. the front driver door hinge seems loose. compared to the other doors, there is very little catch in the hinge.
3. rattling noise coming out of the center of the dash upon start up.
4. changing gears ( d to r, or r to d ) seems really clunky, kind of like rpm's are too high. i make sure to come to a complete stop
before changing, but doesn't help much.
5. a/c sucketh. especially in the texas heat.
6. front driver seat squeaks and pops. i'm 6ft and about 180lbs, so i don't think i'm breaking the seat.
7. general rattling and clanging at idle. this may just be a side product of how quiet the engine is overall, so any nuanced noises
may just seem amplified.

the p.s. issue seems more to me, like the pump is weak, but it doesn't affect the function. i need to take it in and have it all looked at.

Hi elephantrider,
We are sorry to hear about your recent concerns. We would suggest contacting your local FCA dealer to help address these concerns as they are mechanically trained. If you decide to do so and are interested, we're available via private message if you need additional assistance.

Hi All,

My 2019 3500 ( 3400 miles ) is having an issue where the AC is coming from the defrost in all modes. To clarify, when in vent mode it seaps from the defrost and constantly fogs up the windshield, the longer i sit or drive the worse it gets. If I turn the wipers on it gets worse much faster. If I put it in foot mode it is substantially worse meaning the air comes out of the defrost like I have it in defrost.

I took it to the dealership and they have a case open due to it being a safety concern but told me that FCA is aware of the issue and there is nothing the can do. It was suggested to put a mat over it or rainx it. I have already rainx it. On the way to and from North Carolina I had to stuff clothes between the dash and windshield in order to drive at night. I checked 3 other trucks on the lot and they all did the same thing. This is a serious safety issue since I live in Florida and the humidity is always through the roof. My local dealer also did a recalibration of all mode doors and modules. There was no improvement at all.

Does anyone else have this issue? How are you dealing with it? I think for $60k I should not be told to stuff items in my line of site causing the same poor visibility concern the frosting is doing.

Thanks in advance
Albert
