Until “having a problem with your CP4” turns into and is accepted as “if you have a CP4 its a problem” just prepare to be disappointed in FCA

Although I appreciate the fact they reach out I have never known Ram to give any real solutions to their customers. Not that we are entitled to them to be fair, we bought these 19-20 wirh CP4s knowing the risks but never the less it would be nice to get the definition changed.

Hello everyone,
If you are currently experiencing concerns with your vehicle's CP4 pump, then we would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist for support. This will connect you and your dealer to an individual who will offer an additional layer of assistance throughout the official diagnosis and repair of your vehicle. We would also be happy to review any of your questions or concerns through private messages. Thank you,

Kathryn

Thanks for your response. Is there any plans to recall the 4.2, or is it a wait and see if yours fails? If failure under warranty, will it be replaced with CP3?

To have to pay out of pocket, swap parts, configure a "work around" just to keep a pump failure, which will occur, not a matter of IF, but WHEN (fuel pumps don't last forever) , from destroying your engine, with a bill attached to it of $10k up to $25 is ridiculous.

I didn't pay a "work around" price for the vehicle.

If a recall is not issued soon, I'm looking at going with the manufacturer that's now using a Denso pump, or going back to a gasser asap.

I'll be getting rid of my 2020 CP4 glitter bomb asap before the word spreads even more, ending up with a lemon model year that you won't be able to pay someone to take off your hands, even those not in the know.

I'm going to say this exactly one more time before I start deleting or moving threads to one of the other CP4 bitchfest threads.

Any complaints or rants about the CP4 need to be messaged in one of the other three or four threads along those same lines.

PLEASE stick to the technical, TSB, and/or recall aspects of this issue.

I might not even move the posts, I might just delete them.

I hope you all understand, the CP4 rant posts are just getting out of hand and polluting far too many threads.

Which threads might that be?

Links would be helpful

Gentlemen you are missing the point here. The mods aren't trying to suppress information or keep you from being able to speak out against this unfortunate situation....

The mods are however asking people are about to post in this specific thread to keep it on the topic of the technical / recall / tsb etc.. And if it's not that (ie a bitch session for legit reason) to take it to one of the other (multiple) threads

Some people are still getting spun up on this whole thing and they deserve a place to help them... Without having to wade through hundreds of posts that are more emotional than practical. Again, **** situation, fca deserves the lashing, just take it to the many other threads and leave this one island of practical info.

Hey everyone

So though industrial injection if you use the code eddieslife you’ll get about $140 off your order bringing my pump shipped to $2588

Pump should be here this week so I’ll start a thread in install here soon.

What is the average installation time for someone with decent mechanical skills?

Also, how does this compare with S&S conversion? How is the pump modified, etc?

If you prefer to discuss in PM please send me a message

Thanks
