It seems odd that the Ram website has not updated to the 2022 information. if productions starts in a few weeks I would think the details would be updated at this point.

Its coming....their always slow at updating their website to the next model year. Actually the past couple of years have been a little sooner than previous years...when it was like October.

Hey, it very well could be there in 8 weeks. I think a big part of it is what options you ordered and are the parts available? 2. What region in the US do you live in.....meaning is it shipped by, rail, truck or boat.....and sometimes all three and some HD's end up getting on a second truck. I'm in the North East....I think its the Washington DC region.....a few years back Pittsburgh had its own region...so I think that's part of my long wait issue. I wish everyone the best of luck and they get there truck sooner than they need it. I know how it feels to need a truck and not have one....it sucks.

Assuming all 78 trucks get done and QC'ed at the same time.... the train going to the region with 75 completed orders will be filled and sent with the 75 HDs long before the train going to the region with 3 orders a month is filled and sent out. Just that one little thing could slow your order.

Parts availability could hurt one order over another. Paint commonality could hurt an order. There are many things, but in no way should you think that it is "first ordered, first delivered", that is not reality at all. There are generalities, and they likely generally are realistic. But there are too many crap storms at play to guess who here will win this race to get the 2022s.

I was told, and believe it until proven otherwise that the trim levels are also "batched" for build.

Makes sense, but unfortunately for me I think there is probably a small pool of open orders on Limited Trim 5500s :(

This made me laugh so hard! I owned a 2021 limited longhorn 3500 with ram air, and in general I think it doesn’t really matter if it has it or not they ride honestly extremely rough. Any imperfections even on the highway you would feel them. I ended up selling mine within 2 months of owning it, and luckily didn’t loose a penny due to whole used car market nonsense. My wife just couldn’t get used to how rough it rode, and we went back to GMC 2500

I would say you’re right. Probably not as extreme, but from what I’ve seen here I’d say the Longhorn is also an outstanding trim in the 2500s/3500s. Seems like if someone wants a decked out truck they option out a Laramie or just jump to a Limited. And some straight up avoid the Longhorn for the “bling”.

2500HD AT4 was the first thing I drove, and it rode like a brick ****house. I also drove a Denali after that. Both of their mirrors shook all to hell, and they design it to seem much bigger than it is. My 04 2500hd rode better. It is a very common complaint among owners.

Went right down the road and the Ram seemed like an old Cadillac
 
I literally haven’t driven a 3500 because there are zero around nj. I looked last summer and found none as well. No 1 ton srw trucks. I have a 2500 gas and it doesn’t ride too bad. At work I have a 4500 and it really isn’t bad but it is also loaded up with stuff. Both of those trucks are 2019s. I thought that the air was to level the ride. Now I feel like I need to find one to test but I prob won’t find one any where.
 
So how come no one has started a betting pool on what “batch” comes off the line and delivered first? Do you push the limiteds out first or the much larger quantities of bh, tm etc.?

curious about the “is one trim generally pushed out ahead of others” part of this comment. Anyone have any reason to believe FCA does this in any meaningful way? Genuine question.

That's true, I guess its literally a wait and see game but I am not trying to get my hopes up. I think my build isn't exactly complex, just the standard bells & whistles that come on a Laramie with the Level A group. It looks like the truck is going to Orlando which is about 9 hours South of me, doesn't sound good shipping priority wise but we will see...
 
Just saw a Laramie in Michigan built on June 22nd and prepped by the dealer on July 14th,pretty quick,wish it had the options I want.
 
Has anyone taken delivery on an order thru Sandy of Mark Dodge Chrysler? My quote from Sandy sounds to good to be true but I am of the trust but verify tribe.

I think semiconductor availability is just too random to make a real call. The supply of any one given component could effect a particular model.

Not from Sandy, but I just picked up my truck ordered through her boss Aaron two weeks ago. I got 12% off MSRP
