2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

How much is AVF? RAM_Dad posted earlier that it should include the digital rear view mirror and tow-mode camera and CAN’T be ordered with the safety group. Another option for those that what the digital rear view. Unless it isn’t available on the PW?

On the 3500 I ordered, the AVF was $945 MSRP and $869 Invoice. I added it to my order. The wired camera is supposed to have enough cable for "trailers up to 35'".

Finally sealed the deal on a 2022 RAM 5500 Limited Cab and Chassis 60". Been a heck of an ordeal to find pricing below the standard 1% below invoice affiliate pricing. I finally came in about 2.8% under invoice by leveraging some commercial small business pricing and small business financing incentives. There were no FCA active rebates on the RAM 4500/5500 platforms (can't use PENFED and the like because they only go up to 3500 platforms). Hopefully, when the vehicle gets delivered there will be some new FCA incentives to further reduce the cost. I contacted about 10 dealers for pricing. Most local in the Virginia/Maryland area and a few farther out like Chapman, Lakeland, and Mark Dodge. Ended up with a local dealer (Safford of Warrenton,VA) offering the best pricing of 2.8% under invoice. Unfortunately, Mark Dodge cant sell 4500/5500 platforms so that easy option wasn't available. Lakeland never got back to me after multiple phone calls and emails. Andrea from Chapman was great to deal with and super helpful with providing me crucial configuration information and my first quote but unfortunately she couldn't do much better than the standard affiliate 1% below invoice pricing. Also, the cost of shipping a vehicle 2000 miles just made it financially unviable. I would like to call Andrea out for providing the best customer experience of all dealers I worked with! Overall, I was surprised that few dealers wouldn't honor even affiliate pricing on a factory order. I even had one dealer saying MSRP on factory order (WTF?).

The truck is about as fully loaded as I could get it. The one option I couldn't select was the Tow Mode Rear View option AVF or XH7 tow mode camera unless I got rid of the the Level 1 Limited package. That was a non-starter. Dealer Connect just wouldn't let us configure XH7 or AVF with the A69 package :( Must be something specific to the 4500/5500 platform or an issue with dealer connect at this point. Just have to go without it. Now on to the waiting game, just hoping there are no restrictions and the order gets verified/accepted without issue. Fingers crossed.

Any idea why Mark Dodge couldn’t get the 5500? Are only certain dealers able to get the medium duty platforms?

Does anyone know of you can get the 17 Speaker Harmon Karmon Premium stereo separate for the Limited? I am looking at the Level 1 Limited Package and the only thing I am interested in is the upgraded speakers.
I actually have a Laramie on order but now looking at the options I am getting, most of them all come with the limited except the upgraded speakers. Now I don’t know what to do lol.

I just ordered a Tradesman 2500 with a $64,280 MSRP and I'm getting it for $60,226. Did I get ripped off or is $4,000 below MSRP descent?

You would get pricing close to EP on your build sheet at Mark Dodge

That's about what I got but a different package. I guess it's relative though. I was given $64000 trade for my 2 year old Duramax that is broken. I guess if I didn't have a trade I would work harder like these other guys. The deal was local and they delivery to my house and pick up the old one. lol

From what I have seen mark dodge would have been in the $56-57k range

Gary at Bud clary in Moses lake is doing invoice minus holdbacks. However other than mark dodge and Gary every where else seems to be charging more than you paid.

Assuming the discount percentage would be the same as my order, Mark Dodge would be ~$56,800

Nice build! I wish D status was actually something to get excited about!!!! Hopefully we see status changes in late July!
Thanks! Sucks now is the waiting game...I cannot wait to get it.

I found on one of Rams sites that 2022 build production is slated to start July 26th give or take. I ordered this 6/15 and it was in BA - Pending Order, now, two weeks later is in this D status so im hopeful its good news.

Build codes.
Unscheduled:
BA
– order entered in system by dealer
BB – fleet order only – review by bid department
BD – special equipment processing
BE – edit error – coding error which must be corrected before order can be scheduled
BG – order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status
BX – good order available for scheduling

Reason Codes:
F – Finance hold – automatic cancellation after 15 days
B – Model or option build out. Your order exists but isn't fully confirmed yet. Plant doesn't know about it yet. Systems are checking the order to ensure it's valid in terms of sales codes.
L – Material restriction
M – Material hold (fleet)
ZA – canceled order

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production, est. ship date assigned.
The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.
D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

Build:
E – Framing. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.
F – Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clearcoated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.
G – Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.
J – Vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
Get your Build Sheet here: https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing
JB – shipped to body vendor. JB/KZP-The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck. As you all know, this can be a source of delay. Typically you see two statuses here: Awaiting Shipment and "Staged for Shipment".

Very nice. Mine is going to look just like that. Good taste. My options are slightly different, but that is a good looking truck. I buy a new one every couple years and always white. My boy talked me into that color with the night package.
Thanks!! Super Excited and cannot wait to get it! Ya, I just had a black-out edition 2015 3500 that I just got rid off for this one and I just didn't like the color. I seen this Granite color on another truck and it is absolutely beautiful and that's why I chose it, but, I do like white as well. I wish I could have got the 50 gallon tank but that only comes with crew LB, I had to have the Mega!!

I feel your pain here wrt to the 50 gallon tank. I wanted the crew cab, 8' bed, and 50 gallon tank, but my wife and daughters insisted on the mega cab. The mega cab is certainly nice, though, and we have a 5x10 utility trailer that more than paid for itself after one year of ownership.

I fear that those ordering loaded out trucks may get parts of the order cut and the truck built to a lesser level than requested as they did for the 2021. That had me scared. I really want the blind spot... my 19 had it and my 21 does not. What if they just make that call and remove parts of tech packages and say screw it and build your order?
