Mark Dodge, have been great so farAwesome! Who did you end up going through?

Best I got from bud clary was 500 under invoice.Nice!! It's good there are still some options to buy for below invoice! I was going to go through Mark Dodge because I was having such a hard time getting a good deal locally. If Gary at the moses lake bud clary had not have come through like he did, I would also be making that trip to Louisiana!
Okay, I called my dealer and made the following changes to my 2022 build:
1) Change to dual rear wheels
2) 4.10 gears
3) Drop the 360° Trailer Camera system since I don't see it getting love here, and it sounds like you would have cables running from truck to cameras that are adhered in some way to the fifth wheel. Kind of a cheesy system.
4) Try to find a way to get NO CHROME. I want Hydro Blue in a Laramie B, but I do not want a chrome grill or mirrors. Sport Appearance should fix the grill and bumpers, but he is not sure how to get rid of the fugly chrome mirror tops.
I'm also starting to wonder if I should price a Longhorn and see if I have gotten to the point that a Longhorn is cheaper?
This sheet is the build prior to the above changes. I will be paying straight invoice minus $500 voucher from my employer program. I do have a Costco Executive (Employee) Account, but I never challenged the car buying program there..... Any of you know much about it and if would be better than what I already have going? I am also worried about the stories from the 2021 orders where the manufacturer takes it upon themselves to drop features and do the build in a partial condition compared to what the customer agreed to. Will they screw with us 2022 order folks?
Sandi (at Mark Dodge) requested a change to mine. Not sure if Ram accepted it or not… but guess it’s possible you can.Your dealer was able to make changes after your order was already submitted to RAM?
Wow. That would be awesome for you if they did accept it. My guy told me no changes once accepted or it would be like submitting a new order all over. Let us know how it works out.Sandi (at Mark Dodge) requested a change to mine. Not sure if Ram accepted it or not… but guess it’s possible you can.

I just ordered a 2500 Laramie Billet Silver Night Edition as well after owning my 2020 1500 Limited Eco Diesel in the same color. Love the truck and color; the small diesel is a dog but does get decent mph. Looking forward to some real power with the 6.7.Nice, I ordered a Billet Silver Laramie Night Edition. First silver vehicle I’ve ever bought, hoping it stays clean compared to my black 1500!
Nice. Yea I went back and forth between white and billet silver. I think the silver looks amazing with the night edition. I went through Costco in WA for my 2021 3500 build. My price was $500 below invoice. The participating dealer also included a limited lifetime powertrain warranty (associated with the dealer, not Costco). Configure your truck on the Costco auto buying site and submit. The local partipating dealer should contact you and provide a written quote via email. No obligation to purchase.Okay, I called my dealer and made the following changes to my 2022 build:

I have the 12" now in a 2021. The only way I would see it as better than the 8.4" is if UConnect 5 allows full screen, top to bottom display of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Right now, you get CarPlay on the upper half with something else on the bottom. So, it's pretty much a useless waste of space to me, because I don't really use the full screen nav, since I use Google Maps or Waze. The 8.4" (with the GPS navigation) includes hard buttons for the heated steering wheel and seats as well as climate control. I'd rather have those than the function buried on menus, which the heated seats and wheel are.12" Display vs. 8.4" Display
I haven't seen any discussion about the two different screen sizes in this thread. The builds I've seen on here all seem to have the 12" display, an option that costs up to $2,000 more depending on trim level. I'm curious how many people who order the 12" screen have actually seen and used both the 8.4" display and the 12" display, rather than just assuming the 12" display is better and worth the extra money. The reason I mention this is because my next-door neighbors have two Ram 2500s, a his and a hers, a 2020 and a 2019. He has the 12" display and she has the 8.4" display. When they learned I was looking at buying one, the first thing both of them said was to get the 8.4" display. They both hate the 12" display. He thought he would like it, but says it's too confusing and difficult to use and too obnoxious. Some reviews I've read say the same. After seeing both, I agree. I'm not tech-adverse either. I love tech, as I had a lifelong career as a professional computer programmer. The 8.4" screen is still plenty techie. It would kind of suck to pay $2,000 extra for something you end up not liking as much. Just thought I'd mention this to those who might otherwise blindly spend $2,000 for an option they may not like as much as the 8.4" display. If you have seen both and prefer the 12" screen, fine. Otherwise you might want to experience both before spending that money.
When I tried Costco here in the Houston area I got one response from a dealer saying that 3500s were hard to come by. I didn't bother reaching out to them, because I was already working with Sandi.I went through Costco in WA for my 2021 3500 build. My price was $500 below invoice. Do we have any info on the new UConnect? Perhaps it is improved. I will say that I'm spoiled by Tesla's constant software updates. Our 4 year old Model S is better now than when we bought it, because of the software updates that are pushed over the internet.I have the 12" now in a 2021. I'd rather have those than the function buried on menus, which the heated seats and wheel are.
Again, full screen CarPlay though would be amazing with a huge display of maps, including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, and even Gaia GPS. No information out that I've found though on whether that will be possible.
My order has yet to be placed. We built the order on the system, printed and I have a copy that you've seen. I asked them to hold this and give me a week to dicuss here on the forum before we submit. I have already listed the changes I want, I initially wanted the 4 camera trailer system, but after reading it sounded like it is a cable connected camera system and kind of lame. So I listed that I want to remove that. But now I am second guessing the total removal and considering the AVF version with one rear camera.... But then I have the FURRION wireless camera option that is an always on monitor.Your dealer was able to make changes after your order was already submitted to RAM?
U connect 5 might make the 12 work a lot better, hope so since thats what I ordered.I have the 8.4” now and you’re correct. Awesome display and is less glitchy than my buddy’s 12”. That being said, I ordered my 2500 with the 12” haha. It definitely looks awesome up front.
