2500 im looking at should be the 3530lbs payload with 16520lbs max tow.
3500 little over kill for what i need.
I've been digging into the 3.73 vs 4.10 axle and i'm still on the fence. I've read every forum discussion about it. Still not sure what to do.
If I go with the 3.73 I will give up towing capacity down to 14k lbs. But read i'll get better MPG.
I barely drive my truck as it is and my 2012 ram 1500 had 88K miles on it, so 9 years old and under 10k miles a year.
I tow a 30' TT and looking to go bigger. any one have tips for real work MPG for the 3.73 vs 4.10
if its minimal I really don't care.
Agreed. Could you tow it with a 2500? Sure, probably. Should you? Not if you have to. Get the 3500 and upgrade the suspension if you don’t like the ride.

I think people here may have been under the assumption you were going with a diesel which would have a payload around 2,000 on a 2500. With the gas, you will be close to 3,000 which should be plenty for a 30' TT. If you ever plan on getting a big 5th wheel or something in the future, then you might want a 3500, but even if the TT has a heavy tongue weight of 1,000-1,200 pounds or so, you will still have 1,700 or so payload left over for your family and any other gear you throw in the truck.

I do think the older 2018 and older did say something about HD springs.....with the 2019 and newer I don't know....I couldn't find anything different when I compared one with a non-snow chief group on their equipment listings. See link below slide 17 it tells you all that comes with it and what you can't get (DRW, Night edition etc...) if you order that group. With and without also show HD Front and rear shock absorbers. I do have a question for the group, does the Snow Chief Group change the springs on the truck at a beefier version? I have read that it does and others say it doesn't? Can any verify?

Super easy and simple to do. Pretty far from the house, but all my experiences with dealers in the North East have been painfully crappy. Had one dealer a few years back offer me $35.00 off(yes 35 bucks) on a rig that had an asking price well above high market value. For me, worth having it shipped or taking a week or two off to spend some time in LA.

That’s what I am hoping for, that they are ready to hit the ground running on the 26th. Was supposed to sell my current truck to carmax last weekend but decided to keep it till the end of the month. Figured I’ll let it go before I have to pony up the money for CA tags in July.They don't start building the 22's until July 26th. That will give them time to get all parts together etc...Once they start it should go pretty fast.

I need a DRW but not until about a year from now....so I'm going to order one in October of this year. I basically want the same truck I had (loaded up Laramie) except a DRW. My PA tags were due in July. I used the truck for two years put 16K on it and got just about what I paid for it. I haven’t discussed the shipping with her yet, I have already gotten a bunch of quotes ranging from 1350-1600 on my own. I’ll have her price it when it gets closer. They will do like 250 miles for free. She said I could fly into Houston and they would meet me there. I am also in Ca. About 2 miles from the ocean , 1900 mile drive home for me.For those of you who have placed 2022 orders w/Sandi, have you discussed the shipping option at all? If so, what was the rate? I'm in CA and, even with the likely cost of shipping, she still may be the cheapest option that I've seen in this thread. I've debated fly/drive, but that's a 30+ hr drive by myself, and might just rather ship it.
Also, unrelated, but also for those of you who have a 2022 order in: what happens if the options change when Ram finally announces things? Or do the dealers know the options definitively, just not pricing? Primarily concerned with any last-minute surprises, as I'm ready to email her but have been holding off the last couple weeks hoping the final word would come out re: options and pricing from Ram.

Can this be added to a 2021 I didn,t think it would show in the review mirror coolMy guess with knowing how Ram works having bought a few Ram trucks.....and got promised but didn't receive the wiring/camera on my 2019 Ram 3500 SRW. When it was promised to me in a package it was advertised in the towing tech package as a WIRELESS camera.....didn't get it.....then when it finally came out it was a WIRED camera........With the XH7 it says WIRED on your order invoice, it will come with the wiring and camera for your trailer. The trailer will have to be wired with that wiring harness and the camera mounted on the rear of your trailer. Then when it's all hooked up and you put your truck into Tow-Mode the picture/view behind your trailer will appear in the trucks review mirror. I do like that idea of NOT having it on the radio screen. I have my 5th wheel Riverstone Furrion trailer cameras (really good wireless camera system...a little pricey but worth the money) on a separate screen. In theory I thought I wanted it ALL on my radio screen......believe me you don't....as there's too much going on while rolling down the road....on the radio screen with NAV, temp controls, radio settings etc... When you want to view the trailer camera's you will need them like right now.....and won't have time to get to the correct screen when you want to change lanes, exit or just want to know whos behind you. By having it on a separate screen its so much better and easier driving as all you have to do is drive and glance at the separate screen change lanes...etc......just my 2 cents and experience.
