2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

I do have a VIN, I believe I got that back in March if memory serves. My VIN is for a 2021 as well, probably wishful thinking that they perform some magic last minute and change my M to an N lol.

One silver lining of waiting 6 months is that I have at least 6 promotions I can choose between to apply to my truck when it ever comes in. I really regret not going for a 2020 last November, I just decided that if I am going to spend nearly 100k on a truck I really want to get what I really want so I chose to order.

The lack of support, transparency, communication from either the dealers or FCA North of the border is absolutely shocking. I know it is unlikely, as FCA really doesn't give a crap, but it would be nice if they boosted the promotions for those waiting so long or at least offered discounted options at closing time at the dealerships or even 0% financing. I still keep going back to the experience my brother had on his F250 ordered within a week of mine, he had a great experience overall and received his truck 5 weeks ago. Total night and day difference between how Ford and FCA treat their customers through the waiting process in Canada from what I saw.

No VIN for me...yet.

After researching the inner working of the order process, make me wonder how they prioritize the builds. one would have to assume with the shortage of chips, pandemic, demand increaseing, etc. they would have done something a little off from normal.

US market is much larger than Canada, it only makes perfect business sense to prioritize those builds. Beyond that, maybe service vehicles / fleet / public orders - then dealer inventory? im just guessing really. maybe a ratio is applied?

No doubt the formula is complex, then add in a few unpredictable variables, and it starts looking like as ugly as a bucket of broken transfer cases.

Interesting tho

It's been disputed by some, but they also batch them by models.

I ordered my truck on 2/24. I received the VON and VIN the next day. The truck was released for shipping on 4/8, just about 8 weeks ago. The dealer says the truck has been sitting in a lot waiting for a truck to pick it up for dealer delivery for a week now. They think it will show up some time next week. That will make it 15 weeks from order to delivery, 9 of those weeks for shipping. I am buying from a dealer near Burlington VT.

My time line is about the same up to vin and still in D since and dealer states eta build june 24 thats 12 weeks and if it goes about 9 more like yours for shipping that would put it about 27 weeks .
FCA makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over

It is waiting bed liner, side steps, etc.
I just checked with Ram chat again today to see if anything is different and they told me the same thing. I asked exactly what it being built but awaiting accessories means, and they said it can mean any packages beyond the base model. That doesn't really make sense. So if you added the tech package, does that mean it might be waiting on all of the cameras, 12" screen, etc.? That doesn't seem right. The bedliner seems to make the most sense.

Ordered from Bud Clary on 4/28. ETA for delivery to dealership is 6/4-18, so could be any day now.

I also got the $1000 bonus cash allowance email today which expires at the end of this month, which works out nicely as my previous one "expired" at the end of May.
Is this the email from signing up for Ram updates on the Ram website? I signed up the other day because mine may be in by the end of the month or early July and I got an email from Ram Brand with the subject "Here's the info you requested about Ram heavy duty" and it just had some links to the Ram site and to the monthly incentives page. Is this where the email would come from? When did you sign up for it?

It's not just Canada. (Minnesota is almost Canada)
Ours was ordered 4/6, built the following week, and shipped a week after that.
Arrived in Illinois at a holding lot several (3+) weeks ago.
According to FCA email rec'd yesterday, ETA delivery is week of 6/14 ++
Wife works at the dealership = no preferential treatment.

Yeah, but that's not that bad. I ordered Feb 2, my truck is on route to dealer now, but i dont expect it to arrive for a week or two. From your timeline they could be on the same train, but my canadian build was ordered 2 months prior...

Now, im not complaining. I was happy to hear the 3-4 month time line when i ordered. Been putting payments away ever since and will go down on the truck most likly.

They cannot be stacked, unfortuantely.
That’s what I figured. Sucks that the new one expires this month too. I doubt we will see anything, but I’d consider pushing the delivery until early July to see if there are any new incentives if I could keep this $1k in my back pocket.

I signed up sometime back in mid-April and received the same info email from you got maybe a week or two after. Then in early May I got an email letting me know I had $1000 bonus cash that expired by the end of May. And then today I got a new email letting me know I have $1000 bonus cash expiring at the end of June. So hang in there and it sounds like you might get something. It only applies to 2020/2021 purchases or leases. All emails came from Ram Brand.

After numerous delays in shipping and a informal hold at the rail yard I finally got answers by skipping the dealer and calling the trucking company that delivers it to the dealership.
Come to find out that it’s very common for keys to be stolen from the vehicles as they leave Mexico. The additional two week was them ordering new keys to get the truck off the train.
Tomorrow morning I’m driving 3.5hrs to pick her up.
Tri-City JCDR. Eden NC. Despite the delays, i would still buy from them. Great price!!

Mines a Canadian fleet order. Ordered 14 weeks ago and still BX. Emailed for an update from the dealer and didn’t even get a response.

What about the $500 TrueCar email that I see mentioned on here? Do they usually send that out right away? I am trying to figure if I should sign up now or wait until later in the month since I am not sure if the truck will be in by the end of June or in July. Do those typically expire at the end of them month that they send them?

Similar situation here. Canadian Fleet Order. Ordered 18 weeks ago, No VIN and still in BX Status. I agree with KevoThe Ford,
thinking our only hope is that they get changed over to a 2022 model. I sure as s**t don't want a 2021 model coming in at the
same time others are getting 2022's!

I don't know if it will stack, but yes that one arrives almost immediately and expires at the end of the month you request it so you should wait until you know exactly when you'll be able to get the truck.

i see your point, for me, with this order being a 75A-PW, I'll wait. Especially if I get the color Anvil!

Just spoke with FCA Canada, ( Ram chat said there was a memo on the account and i had to call them, haha) they said...

- they have no access to any information on the truck until it arrives at the dealer. ( wow, you guy should talk with ram chat, they have access to everything! from the moment dealer hits send.)
- orders that have been submitted will get built
- they can still build trucks past the production end date for 2021 trucks ( Did not confirm the date for me)
- they can switch back and forth for retooling. ( this person worked a the factory where retooling can take 5 mins, depending, and it is common practice, even beyond current year builds)
- they are no longer accepting orders for 2021 truck ( I thought that was already confirmed, or maybe the dealer said that )

I seen the molton orange 75A yesterday, and i have to say, they stand out!

For those who ordered from Dennis Dillon, how long did your truck sit at the rail yard in Utah. My truck has been there for almost 2 weeks now. Its getting frustrating.

Mine has been there since 5/28 hopefully not to much longer

How close is the Ram Builder on the website compared to the options you select with the dealer on an order? I am hoping it is pretty close so there will be no surprise research coming my way. I keep looking for the 2021 builder to come online since apparently new orders will be 2021s.
My 21 Longhorn 3500 was spot on except for the wheels. What I ordered and what she was delivered with were different. I chose the 20” polished wheels as seen and described on the website builder and on the window sticker. What I got was the 20” wheels with carbon insets. Very misleading. I think the 20” polished were available in the past but no longer. I ordered the truck on 1/29 and took delivery on 4/30. Overall, very pleased with the truck and OK with the wheels as I wasn’t getting any traction when I tried to sort the issue out with the RAM folks. image.jpg
