Thinking of Selling my 19 Ram 3500 - What is worth? SOLD!

Wow, what a truck, I wouldn't sell it...that won't support a large truck camper? Really?

Adding 6k to the bed is going to pushing me way over GVWR like almost 1200 lbs over. My current weigh with just driver and full 55 gallon tank is about 9200lbs. Probably approaching rear axle GAWR also with camper. The camper is a beast. I could get by for a while with the RAM 3500 being careful with loading the camper, I think I would be always questioning if I have pushed it too far. Agree that it is amazing the 3500 is taxed with this camper. The HO diesel with ASIN doesn't help me in the weight category, but I love the power and wouldn't go gas.

Holy, what's the camper so I can google it and check it out?

Have a buddy in the Chevy world that is building a cab and chassis Duramax to haul his new truck camper and tow his boat(s). I too didn't realize how big, bulky and heavy the truck units could be. Good luck with the sale and finding the right rig. Better order soon!!!

Going to post it at $65k and see what happens as well as see what the dealer will offer.

Which is why I always went with one of these. I have had 2 retreats. They both weighed under 2,000 lbs.

Would be fine for me, but my wife and kids are the glamping type which that wouldn’t cut it. On the other hand, maybe that is a better option as I would have dedicated alone time ;)

The question has been answered :) The max trade-in value I was able to get after a lot of shopping around was $61,000. It was amazing to see the range of estimates. Low was a $54,450 from VROOM, KBB was $57,480, local dealers ranged from $55k to 58k, and finally my local Autonation Toyota dealership offered initially $60k, and I negotiated them to $61k. I traded it in today for the $61k. A bit sad to see it go but now onto sourcing a 2022 Ram 5500 Cab and Chassis 60 in with a CM Aluminum SK flatbed for a Host Everest Truck Camper :) Lesson here is shopping around pays to the tune of $6K additional dollars. Truck had a MSRP $62,230 and paid $52,200 (including $5k in rebates) for a 2019 CCLB DRW Tradesman with 6.7L HO. If you are planning to sell, do it now. Used car values are unlikely to stay this high for long. Especially as the next model year is right around the corner.

And now for sale on the Autonations site for $64,998 if anyone is interested. Looks like a $4k flip. (https://www.autonation.com/cars/3C63RRGL1KG715382)

Post picks of the new flatie when you get it rigged!

Man that's great! I know you've replied to my thread about me looking into a 3500 cab and chassis. I decided to go down to the local dealer to see what I could get for my 2020 Tradesman 6.7 4x4. The sticker on it is 55k, I bought it for 50k, I was just offered 55K for it after a little negotiating! 21k mi on the ODO, clean truck. I did add the Ranch hand Midnight series front bumper, $2k installed, and Sport rear bumper, $900 installed. Side steps came off of my 2019 2500, $600 dealer swapped free of charge and I installed the 8.4" Uconnect myself for $1K in parts. All staying on the truck. So all in all I think it's a good deal. $500 bucks ahead, plus I'm getting a discount on the 3500 CC and a business rebate. Used truck market is INSANE right now. Might be that way until the end of the year. Gonna order my truck Monday. Hopefully some incentives pop by the time it arrives. Dealer I bought my last two 2500's from offered me $49.5k and 0 discount. Never giving them any business again!

That’s great! Another plus is you will avoid all the drama with the CP4 fuel pump issues the 2019/2020s have since the new truck will have the new CP3 fuel pump that won’t glitter bomb your entire fuel system to the tune of $10k if it fails.

Yep, exactly! Hopefully this deal turns out to be a win, win. Still not the greatest deals out there on a new truck. $10k off days are gone for a while. I'm taking advantage of the sellers market, but downside is, it's not a buyers market. I haven't placed the actual order yet, just the build. I wonder if it will be for a 2022 instead of 2021...

2021 orders closed a few weeks ago. 2022 orders will start mid June.
