I am thinking of up-sizing to a Ram 5500 Cab and Chassis to support a large Truck Camper I am looking to purchase. The used truck market seems to be good now, thoughts on what my 2019 Ram 3500 is worth/asking price? Best way to sell it? I am in the Northern VA area. It has 3,800 miles and in like new condition with the following aftermarket upgrades:
  1. Peragon Aluminum Tonneau Cover
  2. Titan 55 Fuel Tank
  3. Big Horn Leather Steering wheel with Audio Controls
  4. Air Lift XL7500 Air Bags with Air Lift 74000EZ WirelessAIR Compressor System
  5. Hellwig Rear Sway Bar
  6. Ram Tube Side Steps
  7. Remote Start
  8. LED Headlight, backup, and Turn Signal bulb upgrade

Granted its a 2021 with 5,000 miles and a limited. I about choked when I saw the sticker. I’ve never priced this model or looked at them. I’m not sure if this is fair or crazy because supply and demand. All major dealers are on this strip and none of them have much new inventory at all. Especially trucks. It’s might be a good time to sell for top dollar

Funny thing I am just noticing is the amount of dealer spam email I am getting to sell 2016 GTI and 2019 2500 Laramie.
Suddenly all my local dealer locations want my vehicles :)
For sure a sellers market right now if you want to sell. If only somebody would buy a 2006 track built Mustang Saleen

Sell it, you may be surprised at what they’ll pay, dealer will trade for top dollar right now, as well.

When did aftermarket add-ons add to resale value?

The market is a seller's market right now. I'd consider selling my truck, but a suitable replacement is not available.

Hold it to fall. My Fleet rep told me in the Fall used cars' prices will be at an all-time high.

Its like the housing market at the moment, sellers market with little inventory.
Yes your truck will bring big money, problem is getting the truck you want. If you can sell now and wait on an order, but the further into this micro chip and other part shortage we get, the longer the wait.
I did what you are thinking, sold my '19 for a '21, I had ordered back in Feb and sold my '19 last week when I knew the '21 had arrived. It was a major win for me, sold the '19 for just over a thousand less than the negotiated price of the same level optioned '21. Its crazy stupid with the used market.

Take it to CarMax or other bulk fleet reseller if you have 30-45 minutes of time. They provide a 7-day quote that you can use as a bargaining chip. Took my 2016 1500 Laramie ED to them and they offered $33k. It had 50k miles and 13 recalls completed as the ED has soooo many. Just 8 months prior it was only worth $23k at KBB. Found a dealer whom matched that price as a trade-in for my 21 Laramie 2500. Sell it now, once the chip market recovers the price will drop. There is an explosion of populace whom are buying TT and rigs to haul them because of the Bug War shutdown on travel. However, dealers are moving trucks and will negotiate.

Housing market is nuts! Many older folks around here are selling their houses to the companies that buy them and flip them. Houses with less than mine are going for $125,000 more than I paid for mine 4 years ago. No showings, or any of the usual stuff involved in selling a house. And the buyers are paying all closing costs. I need another 2 years before I am ready to sell and retire.

It started when OEM’s started offering some of the same options. I always plug them in. If nothing else,it makes the vehicle move off the lot faster which equals $$.

It’s big corporate investors driving up the market, creating another bubble. Inflation as well. Our dollar ain’t worth squat.

I would’ve taken it, but I just worked a deal on mine for a 2021.:( Nice truck! 3500 won’t support your new camper? Curious.

Well, that’s a guessing game, given the current political and economic climate, isn’t it? A lot can happen in 3-4 months. Could come crashing down, could skyrocket.

Must be looking at a Host.
