Driving on the freeway tonight my truck slams on the breaks and beeps at me. This is the fifth time it has done this in the exact same spot, no issues anywhere else. It's an overpass with a slight bend to the right but nothing you don't see everywhere else. It's always an unwelcome surprise. I've got it set to only warn, but I believe its the adaptive cruise control that is still braking. Is there any way to fix this besides not use the good cruise control?

If it is only when using ACC, then my guess that particular location/spot you drive through must be causing some kind a weird echo feedback to the sensors. I read in the manual that sometimes tight turns can mess it up, but wouldn't be surprised if other form of false bounce back of the signal is what's messing it up.

Considering FCQ works off of radar, I agree with @revjvegas that the shape of the overpass and turn is causing a weird return which the computer is interpreting as 'something'...
Mine would flash as I was stopped waiting for the rollup gate at work to go up/down... ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

All I can suggest is trying a different lane/speed to see if that changes how it operates... or change the setting to far (which is what I did and seems to be less touchy).

I can’t help as I specifically looked for a truck without that stuff on it for this specific reason.

X3. My last truck was a Longhorn and I turned off everything I could. I don’t care for auto high beams either.

I specifically wanted a Bighorn this time around to avoid all those nannies. Maybe I am getting old.

I know this is an old thread but not finding much on FCW.

Just out of the blue last Monday, I was driving through my hay meadow and started getting an audible warning and a graphic on the dash that I hadn't seen previously. Evidently it was picking up tall grass/weeds. Now when I pull into the garage where I pull right up to a stack of boxes/totes, the same warning goes off. A year and a half of ownership and 52k miles and this is the first time I've seen and heard this.

I'm wondering if Ram sent out an update that added it? Or maybe pushed out something that turned stuff on that I had but just didn't have turned? I'm a little perplexed.

Have you had your front parksense turned off all this time and accidentally turned it back on?
