MOPAR - MAXCARE - Zeigler - Extended Warranty Merged Mega Thread

Is it essentially the same one? Covers everything? I never really buy warranties on anything but I plan to have pretty low mileage on the truck I will be getting and the 8 year/80k miles one seem like a decent price.
Yes. A mopar warranty is a mopar warranty. There are different levels that cover different things. A max care mopar warranty from your dealer and a max care mopar warranty from Ziegler have exactly the same coverage. Any ram dealer can look in the system to see that you have a mopar warranty. They don't care where it came from, just that it's there for your VIN.

I picked my truck up Saturday. The dealer offered 8yr/60k for $3495 with a money back guarantee or 8/60 for $2495 with no money back guarantee. I passed after they stated they couldn't touch that price after showing the salesman my quote in email form. I promptly called Zeigler Monday and got 7/100 for $1700 (Mopar MaxCare). Done and I feel good about it.

This was inline with my experience. It turned out that what they were offering was their version of an extended warranty and it wasn't until after passing on it several times that they offered the actual Mopar Max Care and beat the Ziegler price. Turns out that their offering didn't cover some things like the fobs that Mopar does.

For the investment......it's pennies. Look at some of the repair costs.

Ziegler has some very good prices on the factory warranties. Probably less than any other dealer will sell them for.
I agree with you zeigler is the best price of any dealer and no sales tax, just use coupon code payinfull to save another $300 plus and they use all factory parts unlike some 3rd party warranty companies that have a right to use new , aftermarket , or good used parts to repair. Go to this website for zeigler, www.factoryplans.com

I just bought the maxcare 8 year/100,000 mile warranty with $100 deductible for my new 3500 for $2575. Way cheaper then a new computer or 12 inch radio screen !!

well ,my 2018 warranty has run out and i would like to extend , which supplier has the best extended warranty in your opinion?

Zeigler, which is a true Mopar plan. You can go online and get a quote. Not sure how it works if your vehicle is out of warranty though.

They haven’t called you yet?
They will now...by the thousands...lol. Aftermarket warranties, for the most part, are awful. Your best bet may be to start with a quote from Mopar.

The warranty on my Wrangler expired a year ago and it appears I can still add a Mopar warranty.

That is a tough call. Consider that you cannot take a vehicle to any shop these days to have anything done for less than $500 it seems. Even some sensors cost more than that. Also consider that these big Hemi's tend to fail when they get older and that is about $8k to replace.

I am planning on getting all the warranty I can when I sign the paperwork next month. One of the reasons I ordered a power wagon was because of this very issue. I was going to build a Tradesman 2500 with a lift, wheels, tires, winch, skid plates, front locker, etc... All of that could cause warranty fights where the PW already has most of that from the factory and is covered under the warranty.

My son's 2014 Grand Cherokee uses its warranty at least twice a year and needs to go back in again. It has paid for itself twice over.

On the flip side, my Wrangler has been flawless in 4 years, so a warranty would have been a waste of money up to this point.

Since the day I bought my PW I get emails and regular mail from Mopar Direct that say, and I quote,
"
We offer genuine factory backed Mopar Service Contracts
at deeply discounted internet only pricing. Mopar® Vehicle Protection is the only
extended protection backed by FCA US LLC (Chrysler Group LLC)."

But are they really legit? When I go to the official Mopar website, that's not what they call their extended warranty plan.

Hello! Yes, Mopar refers to some of their warranties as their Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan and many of our customers have a MVP plan for their vehicles! We recommend speaking with your dealer if interested. Also, if you have additional questions feel free to call the Mopar Vehicle Plan line here: 800-521-9922

You do not need to read past the very first response under your original post. That will be the best warranty (factory) at the best price with no fighting to get that price. Your local dealer will fight you to not sell it at that price... assuming if you could get them to eventually drop to that price.
