2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Where are these deals though? On the Ram website or what? I just checked current May incentives and all they offer for the HD trucks is 0% for 36 months but no cash back offers. Do they have different incentives for Canada?
Yes Canada has different offers than south of the border

He'd been trying to track down some cooper discoverer AT3 XLT but his parts department keeps saying "national backorder." He gave me the number of his shop he uses for lifts etc to see what options he had available instead of him playing middle man with parts dept. His shop guy says he has 31 of what I wanted available. Said Bud Clary has a good pricing contract with them, would send info to Philip. Still waiting to hear back what kind of deal he'll make me.
Ooh, did he mention the name of the shop used for lifts? I may have to ask him if you don't have it.

I ordered my truck, it showed as a sold order yet the window sticker had the stealership's name on it. I was a little disappointed as this is my first and could be my only vehicle order ever.

Check the window sticker later. Phillip mentioned the first window sticker cut is when the dealership is invoiced to pay for the unit. He said that is why the first window sticker doesn't have your name.

Yeah, I actually have to take my statement back. I never saw it he sticker that was on the truck until just the other day. It does indeed have my name on it. They did indeed rip the entire corner off removing it.

So no name on the online window sticker, but the physical sticker on the truck has it?

Cash in pocket during flight. No problems. And how is cash annoying? It is a legitimate currency with no issues of bouncing. Plus I had just sold 2 cars and had the cash. I don’t have a bank locally to me so depositing cash is a pain.

I offered to put it on credit card but they wanted to charge 3%. Told them no. They also offered to take me to a bank and pay money to get a money order. Also told them no I was not going to pay money to give them money.

Bring a receipt of the origin of the funds: https://liveandletsfly.com/tsa-seized-legal-money-wont-return/

All depends on how much youre putting down. $5k? No prob. $25k, nope.. not hauling that much cash through an airport lol.

So beyond frustrated with the whole purchasing ordeal and my dealership in general! 16 weeks since I ordered my Limited Megacab and still in D status and because my sales guy was laid off it is like pulling teeth to get any updates at all from anyone at the dealership, including sales managers. The lack of any kind of customer service at all from FCA or the dealership is ridiculous. It seems in Canada we have no recourse but to sit here and take it, the only response I get is "well we can refund your deposit and cancel your order". They really have us by the short and curly's as used trucks are now going for as much (or more) than I paid for my dream truck and lesser equipped trucks that are sparingly available are going for full MSRP.

I totally understand the supply chain issues going on, I deal with it in my line of work as well, however how can Ram be so completely void of any basic level customer service at all??? Both my brothers bought trucks within a week of me buying my Ram. One bought a F250 and the other a Honda Ridgeline (yuk) and it is completely night and day in the service, communication and experience overall. Sorry for rant

I had a Tundra on order for 5 weeks and my salesman got zero answers as to when it would even go into production, so it isn't just RAM. I gave up and went to RAM instead, but not sure if that is helping either, hahaha.

What happens to the folks that pay $8k over MSRP now, and then production catches up some months from now, the supply catches the demand, and the value of the vehicle declines exponentially? I say $8k because I saw a truck last week that was identical to the one I ordered with one additional, small adder going for $8k more than I am paying. Yikes. Think about trying to sell or trade it in a few years and basically having to pay the depreciation plus the overage on the sticker price. You could be in the $15k - $20k range in only 2-3 years.

The reality of our world today is if you got the truck on order prior to this ridiculous price hike, even though it is taking too long to get built, you can see some positives about the situation. That is, unless you are riding a bicycle or the bus to work. If mine does not arrive in the next 14 weeks, I will be in that situation myself.

My buddy bought a new diesel 2500 Laramie about 10 months ago for $65k and decided to sell it for $75k last week. It was on Craigslist for 2 hours before it sold. Lol, what is wrong with people? It is like panic buying before a hurricane arrives or the TP shortage debacle of 2020.

This is the only reason why I'm considering selling mine, but on the flip side trying to find a decent deal on a new one might not be worth the sale...

What about the Fools paying $50K over MSRP?
Yes, I said that right.
They are really going to feel it. Dealer here is asking $50K over MSRP on a TRX. $20K over for a Ram.
And he's trying to tell me he sold one already.

I had to phone Stellantis support at the beginning of my order process to request a mailed brochure (3/24). The party mentioned they didn't know what I was requesting and kept telling me to visit a dealership. She created an incident/ticket and gave me the reference. 4 weeks later I received a printed 1 sheet brochure. :)

I too just received an e-mail 5/4 with the $1,000 Bonus Cash Allowance!

Is there a Rebates / Incentives sticky that I've overlooked?

Here is my list checking for Incentives / Rebates:
  • $1,000 Bonus Cash Allowance - E-mail expires 6/30/2021
  • $500 Perks At Work Employee Car Buying Service
  • $500 Beneplace
  • $500 Truck Conquest Bonus? Anyone know how to go about getting this or does the dealer enter it?

Won't be able to use with Bud Clary deep discount:

Post Sale:

Pending:
  • Bank of America - Checking
  • BECU - No
  • Chase - Checking
  • Citi - Checking
  • Farmers Insurance - Checking
  • Costco - None
  • Nationwide Insurance - Checking

  • AAA - Checking with wife
  • USAA coupon $1000 - Discontinued?

Other Incentive Links:
I think for the conquest you need to bring in a copy of the registration of the other car - I think it's listed in more detail over on the MSRP thread.

Truck has made it to Texas, so fingers crossed it keeps making steady process. I had been given an ETA of 5/18 - 5/31 so should be somewhere in that window.

Thanks to all giving heads up about financing at Bud Clary. I too had the impression they would "beat or get close to" my credit union preapproved rate of mid two's. But in speaking with Phil today, he said he would have been able to get me a similar rate if I lived in WA instead of CA - he left that part out during our initial conversation. I don't think he was being shady, I think he was just over simplifying the financing part for somebody not living in WA. The problem with my local credit union is they won't finance out of state transactions. So the plan is to finance with Wells Fargo at the higher rate with Phil and then to refinance with my credit union once I get my California registration. Based on other's input, I want to try and get that ironed out before I arrive.

This financing seems to be the biggest PITA with purchasing out of state, but big discount more than makes up for the refinancing headache.

It's only been about 12 weeks so far - so consider myself fortunate - and starting to smell the barn!

Ah ha. Great insight and good info all the way around.

Who gave you the Texas info--Ramchat or Phillip? I wonder if we are on the same train. I was told last week my ETA to dealer (same dealer) is 5/19 to 6/2.

I spoke with Phillip today, and it was fantastic. Applied my RAM coupon, and said my PenFed coupon should be no problem when I become eligible on Monday.

Also said my pre-approval is about as good as it gets, so he can try to beat it, but if they can it won't be by much.

Lastly, he said my truck may arrive on 3/14. It's currently in Oregon. So that's awesome.

One other thing he did mention is that he prefers for his customers to come in Sunday through Thursday, as he is off Friday and Saturday, and it's totally crazy at the dealership. Obviously not possibly for everyone to do, but I thought it was worth sharing.

I did notice that one way flights have gotten a lot more pricey than they were a month ago...

More excellent info, thank you.

Phillip - seems like once truck passes into US ram chat refers you to the dealer - this squares with what I’ve heard before. I think he was joking, but dealer offered to buy truck from me for $1k more than I bought it for because of shortages....

That doesn't surprise me one single bit. Im secretly worried they will sell "my" truck before i get there to pick her up lol.

0-60 in 4.1 seconds - guess it sets its own market lol
