Well my build sheet popped up today and it's the wrong motor/ trans not very happy

So I chatted with RamChat on Friday and they stated that my truck was in the same state for 43 days now and would escalate my order and gave me a case #.

I received an email today from FCA stating: "At this present time, your vehicle is built pending installation of additional features or optional equipment."

I asked what it was waiting on, no response yet but I post about it if I can find out what it is. Makes sense that I have the build sheet but no Window Sticker yet.

I was chatting with them this morning to try and get the current status of my order and they said it still has not been scheduled to be built despite being ordered 12 weeks ago. She tried explaining to me that it would be another 9-12 weeks for the build process once scheduled. I asked if there was any recourse to escalate and they actually cancelled the chat on me lol. I do feel bad for the customer service people as it is not their fault but WOW the transparency and customer service has been really bad!

I did sign but the paper I signed it said cummins HO and Aisin. They ordered another so my truck will have a twin with a SO and 68rfe lol. But it did set me back another month which sucks. I'm just glad I caught it now. Dealer said they'll some money off

Take this for what its worth since it came from my dealer, but he told me they were building trucks as much as they could and then parking them waiting on the chips and whatever other parts are in short supply. Seems to me that once it starts on the line, it would be more trouble than its worth to pull it off, wait for parts, and then shoehorn it back into the line again, but thats what he told me.

I am hoping to find out what it is they are waiting for to report back here, so anyone who may have ordered the same feature/equipment will know why their order is delayed.

I read an article that said the same thing
 
Received update from dealer today, STILL in D1 and estimated ship date has now pushed back to 4/29

4 post above yours (similar builds), the truck was ordered 4 months after yours and he is in the
same status as you are. I am seriously thinking about cancelling my order because I do not want
to wait 6 months for a truck.

hand in there. you might regret cancelling the order.
 
2021 Power Wagon ordered today, in Olive Green, with the following options:
  • 75th Anniversary
  • Safety Group
  • Bed Utility Group
  • Sunroof
Paying $62,400, before TTL, rebates, or any (hopeful) incentives.

Very excited, and happy to finaly post on the forums! This wait is gonna be a test of the patience, that's for sure!

Currently showing "D" status 4/5

Dealer indicates there is a chance my truck is built this month. Trying to not get too excited, but wow!
