Truck won't unlock after remote start

New batch of TSBs posted on NHTSA. This one is in the works:

Case Number: S2108000009 Release Date: 1/13/2021 Symptom/Vehicle Issue: RKE Does Not Unlock The Doors After A Remote Start Event Discussion: After a successful remote start event the vehicle’s RKE does not unlock the doors. This issue may be intermittent. Engineering is aware of this concern is currently anticipating a TSB software update be released during the 1st quarter of 2021. Replacement of RFH, Fobik’s or any other components WILL NOT resolve this customer concern.

this is my first ram truck and I have owned many vehicles and if this is all that ever goes wrong I will be a happy camper. frustrating sure but have I lost a minute of sleep over it? nope. Will I be glad when it is fixed? yup. Has it made enjoy my truck any less? nope. Takes me a minute of holding the unlock button whoopie do lol. is it fun to bitch about on a forum? a little lol.
 
The thing that makes no sense to me is my wife has a 2020 ram 1500 and the fobs are different than mine. Either way hers unlocks. I wonder what the difference is between the 1500 and the hds

1500 classic, or 5th gen? The classic uses a different RF Hub manufacturer. The 5th gen uses the same RF Hub manufacturer as the 2019+ HDs, but different part numbers and software. The 5th gen 1500’s aren’t without issues, either. They are very sensitive to interference from LEDs when they are installed in the CHMSL, and they don’t like to remote start the truck in cold weather (although, I believe that is more of a battery voltage threshold issue).

I wonder if it is the LED's that is causing the issue on mine as lights come on when started.

It’s legit and all factory parts, but the door harnesses and jumper harnesses are a little excessive, and add about $200 to the cost of what you can do it for. If you source the handles and antenna yourself, I offer a pair of harnesses for the handles that will integrate right into your existing door harnesses. @kristof installed passive entry using my harnesses.

Yeap. Works like a charm.
 
My truck has an issue when I use the remote start. It'll start like it should but when trying to unlock the doors with the remote it often will not unlock them. I have to repeatedly push and or hold the unlock button before it'll unlock. I took it to the dealer and they "FCA/RAM" are aware of the issue but didn't have a fix for it yet. The technician reprogramed the Fobs which initially helped but now the issue is back. Anyone else have an issue with theirs yet?

I've just read all 18 pages and no one is saying their truck is fixed, wth. Like reading all of the book except the last chapter. Did anyone get resolution?

No there will not be a fix until the second quarter as per the star case mentioned here.

Maybe I should cancel my order and stick with my Toyota if its that bad... Oh come on. Every manufacturer have issues with some of the cars. It's normal.

I believe Ram Cares has responded they do not have any power when it comes to pushing a recall or update. they just basically ask your current dealer to play nice. It is going to take someone being mugged and beaten in a parking lot because their truck wouldn't open. Any volunteers?? :)
