2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Ordered this “Black Beauty” on 1/19. Had my VON/VIN in 3 days. Sent a message to Ram Cares, inquiring about the build. They tell me it’s in the “Q”. I’m with most other folks, if this build comes in without all the “lickey - chewies”, i.e. lane assist, etc. and there are no means in which to add it, as the chips become available, then I may be truck-less. Hate to do that, but, I ordered it, View attachment 11868the way I wanted it.
Looks like you ordered a Limited which was not subject the lane sense option limitation I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Just picked up my 2021 3500 CCSB, HO, Laramie.
Looks great, what other options did you check, the truck looks like it’s darn near sitting level from the factory which is not common on the diesel trucks

I'm an unfortunate senior around here. 20 weeks tomorrow since I placed my order but it wont be long now. Anyone getting a ceramic coat?
I am likely going to ceramic coat mine (DIY) right after taking delivery. I just ceramic coated two other vehicles in the fall (one DIY and one at a detail shop) and it does make washing a bit easier. Doing it right away on a new vehicle reduces the amount of paint prep necessary, so my plan is to do it within a week after taking delivery.

Hope your truck arrives soon.

Update from my salesman just now: 9/24 order is scheduled to be off loaded at railyard tomorrow and hotshot over to dealership. Was hoping to be picking up truck before Saturday 2/13 the day my cash incentive expires but was informed it was extended to 2/28. Getting closer but since incentive was extended im not worried as much.. 20 weeks if delivered friday 2/12
Bloomer do you have any details on how your incentive was extended? My truck is stuck on a darn rail car, cash offer expired on the 8th, but the program itself runs through the 28th/month end. FCA has been useless in updating my customer incentive profile in dealer connect and the dealers hands are tied on these sort of things, if it’s not in the system as extended people are screwed because a dealer can’t just add things or extend them. I’m super curious to know how they did this for you?

Hey guys I just talked to my dealer yesterday after hearing about this possibility of losing my blind spot or more options on my ordered truck. I ordered my laramie on 1-10-2021 so i was worried about losing these options and ready to cancel my order . But after my sales manager contacted his guy at ram he told me today that anything ordered after 2-7-2021 will be without but all builds that are sold units before this date will come with every option ordered . So as long as he is correct it sounds like most of us will get what we want !

I do have the POC when I ordered and the estimated ship date is blank. Would that be filled in once issued a VIN?
Good to hear. Now just ask your dealer for a copy of the Priced Order Confirmation (POC) . This should get you the estimated ship date and the current status which is likely D1 right now. I got my window sticker on 09 Feb and my estimated ship date was 07 Feb. So you can expect to see your window sticker a couple days before or after your estimated ship date.
Asked dealer yesterday re estimated ship date. They didn’t have one. At this point happy to get a VIN.

I contacted my dealership and my salesman pulled some strings and got it extended to 2/28. I had been chewing on some asses cause of the late delivery and asked for an 'exception.' It can be done... Just got a message this morning from salesman saying within 5 business days for delivery cause weather has slowed transport from yard.

Thank you Bloomer, I am definitely not doubting you, but when you talk to him next could you please ask him how he did it or who he talked to at fca? The incentive profiles in dealer connect for customers are very rigid and typically the dates can’t be altered on targeted direct offers. Feel free to throw my situation out there, I am very close with my dealer (personal friends with the gm) he has basically said if you find or know of a way let us know and we’ll do it.

I am wondering if your deal had more wiggle room in it and they’re just discounting the purchase another $1500 to make up for the lost incentive, that wouldn’t surprise me at all. Unfortunately I don’t have $1500 worth of wiggle room to do the same, my deal is about as low as it gets for a dealer

Ill try to find out but wont get the chance till I pick up the vehicle. From his past message to me, he told me he contacted fca about delays and incentive extension. To be cont.....

I too thought I was getting best deal possible at dealership because my dad is an executive at the company. I walk in the door and have faith knowing I'm getting the best deal possible on the truck and financing.

Thank you bloomer, any accurate insight your guy can provide would be much appreciated, if your dad is an exec you are probably purchasing through the same program I am, it would either be an EP or FFP purchase program code. They are pretty structured and again the dealer can only do so much within said programs. Did your dad give you an EP code to provide your dealer?

He is a exec at the purchasing dealership not fca but yes EP or FFP is what I was probably given.

Right on, well now I am even more curious what they did to extend the incentive, maybe your dad or his gsm knows a work around and I am all ears, thank you!

Please school me on what good it does for you to get the VIN number? Are you able to use that to find any additional info from it? Thanks

Gentlemen, am I correct to assume that the ceramic coating that is being referred to is applied as a deterrent to coastal area salt air corrosion, or that in areas whereas there is heavy salt use on winter roads. Is that an accurate understanding? Here in upstate S. Carolina, we don't have such worries, although I am familiar with ordering outdoor/rooftop equipment, in coastal areas, with heresite coatings for the same reason.

Ceramic coating does many things other than that, among them it protects the paint surface and has hydrostatic properties to shed water. Helps the truck "look" cleaner longer and makes washing easier. Also prevents swirl marks.

Interesting, I will definitely check into this further, as that price seems reasonable for the extra preventative measure.
