Uconnect finally got the appropriate number of key cycles and now I have access to the TTPMS set up.

I just completed this install on my 2019 2500 with the parts listed here, easy to do and very nice feature to have when towing, especially long trips! If anyone is having trouble getting the TIM Jumper Wire 68412666AA, I have have a spare (long story), send me a PM.

I think the parts supply on the jumper got better after the initial bum rush here.

I also have one available, since I ended up having Jimmy07 build one for me.

Sorry, I had to step away from HDRams.com for a few days to help a good friend who needed urgent help.

I uploaded a preview of the hardware installation steps to YouTube. I can send you the link to the video if that's what you need. If you need AlfaOBD configuration instructions, I haven't finished editing that part of the video, yet.

For your convenience, here are links to Phil T's written instructions which I followed when making the video:
Installation of the RAM Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver.
Enabling the RAM Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System.
When I try to open your video about enabling TTPMS something goes wrong. It’s in some weird unreadable format. If this is the video that goes through the alfaobd could you please repost it or somehow get it to me? Email, pm or anything else? Thank you in advance!

I never finished editing the video that demonstrates how to enable the TTPMS using AlfaOBD. I will try to finish the video this weekend.

The only video I uploaded was the TTPMS hardware installation steps. A preview of that video is available here:

I picked up some genuine rims/tyres but the TMPS were removed. I am looking to replace the spare with the alloy rim and fit a TMPS sensor. Can anyone confirm if the sensors on the 2500 are the same as those listed on the first post ”The kit for the TPMS sensors (4) for trailer wheels is 68433188AA”.

I am also looking to fit the genuine rims to the trailer (6 wheels) so I can swap them around as necessary and don’t want to trap myself.

I've got the hardware installed and EVIC shows that the system hasn't been configured - am I still waiting on the right # of key cycles for options to show up in UCONNECT, or do I need the sensors installed to see this? I'm waiting to pick up our new trailer next month before I install sensors, but want to make sure there is nothing else I need to do.

Thanks!

It'll all come together when you have the tire sensors installed.

Yes mine was the same way until my tire sensors were installed. Phil T is one of the tech guru's here and he answered that question, as well as some others. I know this topic is a long read, but the answers are there. I've read it all, printed everything that had to do with parts and install, which was handy once all my parts were in.

I keep getting this not configured message at every start up.

You will get it until you pair some sensors.

Got it. Thanks - yes, long thread - 55 pages and counting

So you are saying the sensors must be installed for the UCONNECT screen to show the TTPMS set up screen?

No, the setup screen should be there.

How would you setup the sensors if you don't have the setup options?

The "Not configured" will show if you select the TTPMS in the EVIC and do not have any sensors paired.

That was my thinking. Some posts have mentioned waiting for a number of key cycles or even pulling a fuse to get UCONNECT to reset. I’ve gone through about a dozen key cycles so far. .....

It can take some time to show up unless you force it by pulling the radio fuse.

Are yo sure you enabled ALL the options listed in the first (updated) post?

Went to double check everything and the set up menus were there - it just took a while. Thanks!

Sorry about that, thought I had it right from what I remembered doing mine! Once I got the "not configured" I didn't do anything further till I got the sensors installed in the tires.

Can both codes in alfaobd be turned on during the same connection? or must the Frist code turn then back completely out, reconnect and then activate the other? My dealer has been working this for about 2 weeks or so now, they installed all the hardware and he contacted FCA and got the sales code added but still NO TTPMS. Also The sales code has no titled meaning it has no name to it. I'm Thinking alfaobd here I come.

I have found unless there is a sequence to follow the best thing to do is change one thing at a time. That way if something goes wrong you can trace it back.

AlfaOBD is a powerful tool but changing the wrong things can have disasterous consequences.
