TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

I have a video that is 95% done. It includes the parts, installation, AlfaOBD configuration, and tire sensor pairing. I will try to finish the editing tonight.
I tried to waid for your video, but I just couldn't... I didn't like pulling that headliner down, but...

Now to find sensors...

Thestuarts video and Brutal's list of the parts needed should be a separate sticky on the main page. This is huge!

Look for the instructions I posted. You don't need to wait for the video.

Phil, your installation instructions are amazing. I followed your instructions when making the video. I noticed your installation was a little easier than mine because the seat belt anchor in the MegaCab is on the outside of the plastic interior panel, so I had to remove the seat belt anchor to remove the plastic panel.

I sent @switz a private link to a preview of the installation steps so he can review it before I make it public.

Is it done yet? :)

Sorry, I had to step away from HDRams.com for a few days to help a good friend who needed urgent help.

I uploaded a preview of the hardware installation steps to YouTube. I can send you the link to the video if that's what you need. If you need AlfaOBD configuration instructions, I haven't finished editing that part of the video, yet.

For your convenience, here are links to Phil T's written instructions which I followed when making the video:
Installation of the RAM Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver.
Enabling the RAM Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System.

I am actually looking forward to the work you are doing for the Aux Switches and upfitter stuff. I don't currently have a need for the trailer tire monitoring. But it is something I am interested with for later.

Is anyone having luck getting the pigtail wire? It is the final missing component and every place I have contacted said it is on national back order with no date.

If you can't get one from RAM, I have one that I made for sale on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224042186184?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

The price is more that what you can get from RAM, but it is labor intensive to make. Two of the members here are using mine as well as me having the first one I made in my own truck.

An old boss of mine quoted " When your nuts are in a vice, don't worry about the price."

Ok, I am at the ready position. Everything is installed and the OBDlink is ready. But alas, I thought I could purchase a serial number for AlphaOBD but didn't figure I would have to wait for it to be sent. I just assumed it was automatic. Oh well...I do have a question though. Should the engine be running while AlphaOBD is doing its thing? Or, should the ignition just be on? Thanks

Just on. No need to have it running.

You should get your serial number by morning.

It doesn’t matter. Ignition doesn’t have to be on at all. When I configure my BCM, my truck is close enough for the Bluetooth connection to reach to my chair in the front room. I never even touch the vehicle when making changes.

And another question: What exactly is AlphaOBD programming? Once I set it up for the TPMS, what happens when I go to the dealer and there is an update?

Alfaobd just let's you change settings in the bcm. I had my vb6 recall done a few weeks ago and nothing changed on the settings I set in alfa.

Lol, a bit lazy I suppose, but no need to leave my comfortable chair if I don’t have to. Here’s my “bench setup” for configuring an entire BCM to send out to someone without actually installing it on the truck, and no ignition-
