Does installing the Industrial injection pump negate warranty? If it doesn't, I am interested.
It is a shame as I bought my truck for peace of mind with respect to reliability i.e. Cummins reputation/Truck of the Year award etc.
Owning this truck now gives me great concern as having it shut off and the resulting loss of control while I am driving with my family is more than an inconvenience. At this point I consider my truck a deathtrap as it sits now and it should stay parked.
I’m sure it would yes. But the biggest warranty concern at the moment for most is what? That’s up to them to answer but emissions has proven to be better than expected even with frequent DEF use, the power plant is largely unchanged but the hydraulic lifters seem to be working out well so really the only thing you’re banking on is the CP4 to hold out long enough for you to use your warranty?
I would bargain that most wouldn’t notice the pump difference anyway or look past it.
That said the decision is yours at the end of the day.
The industrial pump much like the S&S pump is a drop in no tune. It’s flow rated to the same as the CP4 with minor modifications (mounting and the ECM stand off).
Personally I’m going to throw that pump and forget about all of this.
