What did you do TO your RAM today?

The guard looks great. Been thing about a Rancher guard. What make is yours and are you satisfied, strength-wise, with how it mounts?
Thanks
It's a Steelcraft brand. Seems pretty stout. I have already had a few close calls with deer while driving to work so I figured this was a little extra insurance. I had a Ranch Hand guard on my chevy before this and it seemed just as good.

Thanks.
I have a Ranch Hand on my 2016 1500 Eco and like it a lot. Had one on my 2006 Ford F350 6.0 also.
When I looked at their mounting system on a 2020 3500 I was not impressed.

I was impressed with the Rancher and Steelcraft mounting system but Steelcraft was new to me. Yours looks great on the truck. Glad to hear the mounting is stout.

I only paid $420ish dollars and did the install myself. The lower brackets are very strong and beefy.

The only con is that I'm having a difficult time finding a lightbar that will fit.

I am asking the question. I saw that ranch hand requires some trimming. I am seeing what else is available.
IMO the Rancher has the strongest mounting system, Plus their bottom bar is a flat step, can step up in front of the engine compartment and easily mount lights on it. But it's pricey

No trimming required to fit this on. The lower bar covering the license plate is the right height for a step to get into the engine bay.

I looked at multiple brands but for the $$$ it seemed like this was the best deal.

I did go look and the lower center part of the grille does come off in case it interferes with a camera.

Yep! It definitely is the best bargain. It's currently on Amazon for 450.00, only 30.00 more than you paid.
The best deal I could find on a Rancher is 680.00 and it has no grill section removal for the camera.
I have the camera so the best for me is the Steelcraft for both price and a camera opening.

Finally got around to installing the first of my Baja Designs Light. This is the front hidden bar. https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Dodge-Ram-2500-3500-19-On-20-Bumper-Kits.asp

Not done yet. It's been a real PITA. About 8 of the fasteners require you to be a leprechaun. If I didn't have a pretty well equipped shop, and both metric and SAE normal and stubby gear wrenches, it would have been even worse. Going to wire them to the aux switches.

Glad to hear someone had the same frustrations I had, a real pain in the ass. I bent a wrench to get those air dam bolts next to the license plate area out. Be sure to get the bar adjusted to your liking before putting everything back together.

Did you get the S8 or the OnX6 light, and are you happy with it?

Installed some new wheels/tires, timbrens, changed the oil, disabled TPMS and added remote start.

I was really interested in this kit, but it better be really good considering the price. I hope you let us know how it it is once completed and really curious about the same question Wmhjr asked.

I bought the slightly less expensive S8 version - not the OnX6. Talked with them and felt it was overkill and could actually be more light than I wanted. I will say that the quality of the components are excellent - though I would have preferred if the brackets were powder coated and the hardware was stainless. I've seen a bunch of LED light bars - this thing is very well made, high quality. I have the S8 20" bar which has ember running lights. Wiring that to my aux switches. Also got the S2 Reverse setup from them - which I'll install after I finish up the front. Those will also go to aux rather than reverse harness.
