I had the same concern, but I’m looking at it a little differently. IMO, this feels more like an electrical issue than a mechanical one—though it may require a few sensors that play nicer with the new Atlantis architecture. I’d much rather deal with that than true core mechanical problems (lifters, lift pumps, engines, transmissions, rear axles, etc.). I was originally planning to wait for the ’27s, but I definitely don’t want to be the test dummy for a new 7.2L if/when that happens.
Historically, the RAM 1500s went through similar growing pains with the Atlantis architecture and are now very stable. I think things will work out just fine. The sky isn’t falling (yet — haha).
