Your gun is poop

Anyone have experience with Joe Bob Spartan receivers?

Thinking of using their upper and lower for a AR 9 build with Glock mags.
Haven’t used their receivers but they’re a legit company. Good prices and quick shipping

When my brother -in-law visits, we generally part with the wives while they shop. Inevitably, we end up at one of our local gun shops (or all of them). I picked up this Dickinson Tac4 shotgun for $200. Best part is, I tell the wife it was his fault! Nice little Turkish made pump.

Please let us know how it performs. Been eyeing these for my rimfire can, but noticed it uses the "thread adapter" instead of a standard threaded barrel. Pretty new, so not a lot of real world testing yet.
The Thread adapter thing pretty standard for 22s that have full slides. the m&p compact22, tx22 and all the Walthers are the same way as well. Maybe others, but those are the only ones I have experience witn. I believe it’s because they take down slightly differently than a typical m&p/glock etc due to the barrel being fixed to the frame rather than coming off with the slide, so the slide needs to be able to clear the barrel. Note the thread adapter needs to come off to take the slide off.

I treat it like a muzzle device with a dab of rocksett (probably overkill) and don’t have any issues with the thread adapter coming loose or twisting off when I remove the can. I don’t really obsess about cleaning my guns so I don’t take the adapter off unless I need to.

So far the gun is great. Love the new ergos that are like the new bodyguard/shield x it’s also nice to have a red dot and 20rd. I’ve only ran a handful of cci suppressor 970fps through it without issue. if it runs like my m&p compact22 did then it will be a great unit.

Nice!! I love my 12ga bullpup. Easy squeezy with 2-3/4 buckshot. will handle 3 mag loads as well

Range day report

S&W 22x runs great with cci standard and is super quiet as one would expect with suppressed 22

S&W M&P2.0 is still malfunctioning suppressed, but the culprit is the aftermarket recoil spring. It is ever so slightly out of battery that the striker is making light strikes. I need to bump back up to a stronger spring. Not the guns fault. I remembered tools but forgot my extra springs ):

Frankenstein AR9 has been doing so well that I think it is viable for home defense. It doesn’t care about grain weight or bullet profile it just feeds and runs everything perfectly. I am close to being confident on betting my life on it

New guy also ran good.
S&W Shield X. This might be the perfect gun.

I have been checking online as well as my local stores for a 22X. How does it feel in hand compared to a standard sized M&P? It feels like most of the other 22 autos I've held felt too small for my hands.

My franken-gun 9mm AR has been great. I'd say it actually runs better than my factory built AR9 from Rock River Arms.

It has a slimmer grip compared to an m&p, see post 868 above.

It has the slim frame size, I would call it. If you can get your hands on a Shield X the 22x grip is more like that.
Personally, I like it. I have small hands. I wear large gloves but I have short fingers especially short thumbs.

Next to a full size polymer M&p
