So I followed up with the second dealership today. They want the truck back for a WEEK! Something to do with Chrysler engineering to tell them to replace the camera. This is getting old. So, when I get home, I take out my Topdon Phoenix Elite scanner and I poke around to find it has ADAS support for a 2021 Ram 3500. I also have the AutoAuth subscription for it to bypass the security gateway although the bypass cable I have will do the same job. get it set up and take the truck for a ride as it requires dynamic calibration (drive the truck). Scanner shows it is calibrated successfully after a few miles as does the adaptive cruise (it always worked). So I cycle the key, clear any codes (there weren't any) as instructed by the scanner and drive it hoping that I fixed it. Nope. No doubt there is a hardware issue. But nice to know the scanner can do this sort of thing. Stay tuned for the next chapter. Had I known, I would never had let them replace the windshield. At least the truck is drivable.
