4500 Camper/Jeep Hauler Build

At the top, roughly 39" long, 18" tall and 21" deep. They are custom fit for my bed and will hang down about the same amount as the tire carrier.

Stablecamper advertises boxes fit for the CM beds on their site, but Jared can do pretty much anything custom. He was able to incorporate notches for my fill necks and I am going to work with him on some more things in the future. He works fully in CAD (Fusion 360) and I was really happy with the entire design process and so far am really happy with the build quality.
Jared’s great! Glad you got these dialed in can’t wait to see them installed!

Took a week off to head down to the redwoods. First time towing with the new truck and the camper. Not too heavy a load, just my parents' camper. Truck camper with a guest house.

Towed phenomenal. Couldn't even tell the trailer was back there. It's hard to overstate what a difference there is between a 3500 DRW and a 4500 with these trucks.

Time to get everything cleaned up and then it'll be back to work on the boxes.

Awesome!
Love it!

My better half keep pushing to get an Apartment or Office to pull behind our truck camper...
Only thing that is keeping that from being a reality is our Jeep.

Hmmmm....

I am picturing an inTech motorsport trailer, big enough to put the Jeep in, with a flat extended tongue like ours so there's no need for a hitch extension.

Outfit it with some cabinets/desk up front, nice RV style windows down the sides, A/C on the roof, some fold down benches/couches on the walls, an extra set of doors in the rear to keep the A/C in while you have the ramp extended out horizontally as a deck when camping, and a bunch more solar on the trailer roof. Roll out some carpet when the Jeep's not in there and you'd have tons of room to "work". :D

Could even do like we did and get tanks added to the trailer. We have a 90 gallon fresh and a 50 gallon gray (why I didn't do 90 on each is beyond me - might see if inTech can upgrade that at some point) with a water pump in the trailer for the fresh. I can transfer fresh water to the camper and transfer gray from the camper to the trailer to extend our range.

One thing I thought about but we didn't end up doing is putting a people door on the front wall of the trailer. We have cabinets on the inside there, but that'd let us walk out the back of our camper, step on to the tongue and just walk inside the trailer. When we extend our camper's rear awning it's practically a covered breezeway anyway.

Maybe you should check out our trailer when you are up in the area. :)

I’m in!

Ticking a few odds and ends off my list along with cleaning the truck and camper from the last trip. One of the things I've been wanting to do is paint the inside of the front hubs since they are unpainted from the factory and I am not running the giant plastic covers.

In order to not get any overspray, I took off the front wheels... Le Mans style.

That'll never get old. I am going to start fitting up the underbed boxes tomorrow if all goes to plan.

If you will, post what you are using for paint and a closeup of the finished product. I am running the giant plastic, but would prefer not to.
Honestly it's just Eastwood chassis black extreme. I wanted to put some rust encapsulator on first, but my can was dried up. I don't know how well it will last, we will see. I'll put some pics up after I put the wheels back on.

Done. It's a satin finish, should match reasonably well once it finishes curing and gets some road grime and dust on it. Didn't bother masking anything since the centramatics can't be seen anyway.

Matches the factory rear close enough.

Need to clean that tailpipe tip...

I forgot that your wheels are black also, looks good. Looking back at your pictures, I wish I had my old moose mirrors back. I liked the view better than these new ones.
Thanks. Yeah I have thought long about upgrading to the 2023 mirrors but I am going to stick with the old style. Just need to swap them out for some black ones as part of the de-chroming.
