Official 2025 Ram HD

My 2025 Lonestar crew DRW 3500 went in production on 1/31. Interesting that I did not receive an email or text as I am signed up for both. The previous status changes I did receive an email. Yesterday it showed delivery date of 4/26. Today 4/5.

Trump and the Mexican president reached an agreement to postpone the tariff 1 month.
Canada rolled too.

I'm going to give it a few months and see how the new Cummins pans out. Quite displeased with my '22 and all the issues it's had.

my 3500 limited is built and shipped to storage with the rest of the 25 models..

2025 Ram Limited Mega Cab 3500 Order Update 2/6/2025

It's not just colors. No gear ratio options with a diesel. I'm from Missouri land of big trucks that still work. 35-37 tires with 3:42 gears at least give a 3:73 option for the guys who personalize there truck. At these prices you should have some more options. Shouldn't have to spend more money in gears after the purchase price. Heck how about a wide track front end to. Tims said the hemi is coming back to the half tons cause people like options we don't like being told. He should probably listen to him self. For 100,000.00 it's going to be what I want. Not what they want to build for cost. If they want out of the hole they dug they have to let the buyer have options build the truck they want. The wide track front end I just threw in there. It would be nice

With the 8 speed, you generally now have the same capabilities without different gear raitos.

Axle ratio is only part of the equation for gearing.

The 8AP with 3.42’s in 1st is lower than the Aisin in 1st with 4.10’s. You’ll be fine with 37’s and bigger than that even 3.73’s would be tall.

Is it really personalized if it was built that way?

You could always buy a Raptor or RHO.

For me I need a heavy duty. But what an absolute **** show for 2025.
My 2019 Ram I ordered in Oct 2018. The 2019 didn't arrive till mid April.

In Oct of 2024, I ordered a F-350 platinum. I spoke to the dealer yesterday and he said it's still "Scheduled for Production". While I share you frustration, this isn't an issue limited to 2025 or to Ram.

Very true, not just a Ram issue, and the days of ordering a vehicle the way you exactly want it are gone no matter what make you buy. I ordered my first new vehicle in 79, you could order anything with anything then.

Yes, naturally- pretty much the same as every other ZF transmission.

What’s really interesting is the medium duty ZF 8AP sold under the Paccar TX-8 name has a dipstick. Bet it can be retrofitted.

As a side note, I’m researching the control system of this trans on CF. I’ll likely be swapping into my 2nd gen in the next year or so once there’s a good supply of parted out salvage trucks.

Any idea how water resistant these transmissions and engines are ?

For instance, is there a spec for how deep of water they can go through ( assuming still water ).

Are there vents or electronics that will be messed up by 12 or 20 inches of water ? Or driving through some deep water splashing up from a flooded street ?

Thanks.

The manual says the Power Wagon can do 24” at 10 MPH and 30” at 5 MPH, so logic would say take 2” off of that for a non-PW.

There is no dipstick holes in the Ram trans, good luck with the electrical.
